TED Lasso fans have begged the co-creator not to destroy the show’s legacy as he teases a possible fourth season.

Last week, series co-creator Bill Lawerence revealed that the team behind Ted Lasso is ready to continue if they get the call to continue.

However, moving forward with Season 4 depends solely on the Apple TV series’ star, co-creator and head writer, Jason Sudeikis, 48, Lawrence said. Collider in an interview.

“Groupthink sometimes happens, even without talking to each other, and every actor, actress, writer, producer on that show – and [we didn’t get] together and decided that was the message – we all loved the experience,” Lawrence revealed.

He continued: “As fans, we would all kill if that happened again, but everyone would say the same thing, which is, ‘Whatever Jason wants to do and whatever his decision is, we all go along with it.’ “

“He’s not just the star, he’s the head writer and also the guy whose life needs to be completely overhauled and moved to a foreign country with young children,” Lawrence admitted.

He concluded, “It’s a big deal. So as a fan, if someone says, ‘Oh, this is going to happen again,’ I’m going to go crazy. As a partner, I’m willing to do whatever he wants to do.”

Ted Lasso stars Sudeikis as the ritual character – an American college football coach hired to coach an English football team.

The team owner secretly hopes that Lasso’s inexperience will lead to failure, but his optimistic leadership delivers unexpected success.

Ted Lasso’s third season has been fraught with behind-the-scenes issues, including the creative struggles of series co-creator, co-writer and co-producer Jason Sudeikis, as well as delays caused by the COVID pandemic.

Due to the difficulties, the third season of the series was not as well received as the previous two.

Ted Lasso season three acted as a fitting conclusion to the series, while also allowing room for additional seasons, sequels, and spinoffs.

FAN RESPONSE

The Hollywood Reporter tweeted, “Ted Lasso co-creator is waiting for Jason Sudeikis to make a ‘decision’ about Season 4,” following Lawrence’s interview with Collider.

In the comments section of the tweet, fans weighed in on a possible 4th season of the beloved series.

One fan wrote, “3 was really bad,” before adding, “better end it there.”

“[Sudeikis] his performance in season 3 made it very clear that he didn’t want to be there. Both Seasons 2 and 3 were a huge step up from Season 1, and I think it’s probably best to leave that alone,” agreed another.

As fans, we would all kill if that happened again, but they would all say the same thing, which is, ‘Whatever Jason wants to do and whatever his decision is, we all agree.’

“As much as we love the show, I think they gave Ted the perfect ending,” added a third.

A fourth fan asked: “Why? Wrapped up perfectly!”

“The ending was perfect,” agreed another.

One fan wrote, “No, 3 seasons was enough,” while another joked, “Wait for that million per episode.”

“No, it’s done. Make a spinoff”, commented a third.

“The spinoff or season 4 should be Keeley and Rebecca running a women’s league team with Roy as coach,” suggested a fourth.
