FBI: International fans are mourning the departure of a beloved character from the series after three seasons.

FBI: International debuted on CBS in 2021, three years after its parent show, FBI, debuted on network television in 2018.

FBI: International Star Luke Kleintank Is Leaving the Show After Three Seasons

Television star Luke Kleintank, 33, will soon exit the show, TV line confirmed Tuesday.

Since the show’s release, Luke has shined in the crime drama as Supervisory Special Agent Scott Forrester.

“After much thought and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to leave FBI: International,” Luke said in a statement to Deadline.

“This decision is motivated by my unwavering commitment to my family, whose love and well-being are fundamental in my life.”

He continued: “I am deeply grateful for the show’s extraordinary cast and crew, who are not only colleagues but also family away from home.

His unwavering dedication and remarkable talents made every moment on set an unforgettable journey that has enriched my life in countless ways.

“Finally, I would also like to extend my thanks to the fans who supported us during the first three seasons.”

Social media exploded with outrage after the news of Luke’s departure was announced.

FAN REACTIONS

Many took to X, which used to be Twitter, to let the world know how much they would miss Luke’s character on the series.

“I’m really sorry to hear that. [Scott] Forrester is the main reason I watch the show, but I’m not surprised, it must be difficult raising a family on another continent with such a young child. All the best to him and I hope to see him soon in another project,” admitted an X user.

“I really love him. He’s been my favorite since Bones,” wrote another, referring to Luke’s short stint as Finn Abernathy on the show Bones in 2011.

“I’m shocked to hear this [Luke] leaving the show. We will definitely miss you,” a third person added.

“Team Fly definitely won’t be the same without you. Good luck in your next chapter. Blessings to you and your family. Oh! I’m going to miss Tank the most.”

“Well, now I’m sad! Ugh!” another person confessed.

“After it has already been renewed, I am very disappointed,” another person complained.

BACK IN ACTION

The FBI universe will continue in the 2024-2025 season.

FBI is renewed for three more seasonsextending to 2027 with Season 9, CBS announced Tuesday.

Additionally, FBI: International has been greenlit for a fourth season; Meanwhile, FBI: Most Wanted has been renewed for Season 6.

CBS President Amy Reisenbach revealed that “All-FBI Tuesday is a powerful force,” which makes sense why the network renewed the franchise.

“All-FBI Tuesday is a powerful force to be reckoned with in our primetime lineup,” Amy said in a statement shared with TheWrap.
