The third and final season finale is scheduled to air on May 6.

On Monday, the beloved NCIS spinoff aired the first episode of its two-part finale, titled Spill the Tea.

The shocking episode featured the entire NCIS elite team, except LL Cool J, being killed.

After viewing the episodes, some viewers expressed frustration that the show spent so much time on the plot only to kill off the main characters before the final episode.

“Well, the elite were there for… nothing,” wrote one fan on X, formerly Twitter.

“It’s a shame Kate Whistler wasn’t included in the episode, but the elite team we didn’t care about ended up and died anyway.

“No, it’s not the elite team that is dying,” added a third.

“So basically the so-called ELITE team is actually really dumb instead of ‘elite’ and then they all get killed at once?” a fourth asked.

“…and just like that, the Elite team is dead!!!” a fifth tweeted.

“Goodbye Elite, I won’t miss you,” added another.

NCIS: Hawaii’s Vanessa Lachey Says CBS’ Decision Was ‘Bigger Than a TV Show’ After Network Cancels Series in Shock

PROVOKING THE ENDING

Weeks ago, the show’s star Yasmine Al-Bustami teased what was coming in the Season 3 finale.

While talking to TV line in late March, she informed fans that the season finale would be in “two parts.”

Yasmine also revealed that the ending would include “a lot of action and death”.

The new interview took place when the show was on brief hiatus for a few weeks and before its cancellation was known.

END OF AN ERA

Monday night’s new episode aired shortly after the fate of NCIS: Hawai’i was revealed, leaving fans and cast alike shocked.

Viewers were excited about the show’s possible renewal, as three other shows in the NCIS franchise were greenlit for new seasons.

On Friday, it was announced that CBS had officially ended the show.

NCIS: Hawai’i will end with a total of 54 episodes, making it the shortest series in the NCIS franchise.

Fans were upset about the cancellation as soon as it was announced, with the show’s star Vanessa Lachey, 43, commenting on the news shortly afterwards.

The actress, who plays Jane Tennant, the special agent in charge of NCIS: Hawaii, admitted that she was “destroyed, confused, [and] taken by surprise” by the decision.

Vanessa also added that she was “grateful” for the show and all the “beloved fans” when speaking on her Instagram Stories.

“Processing this news and still being present with my family,” he added. “I love you all!”

In another IG Stories post, the Love is Blind presenter said the decision to cancel the series was “bigger than a TV show”.

Other stars, including Tori Anderson, who plays FBI agent Kate Whistler, also spoke out about the news.

“I’m having a really hard time processing this one,” Tori said on X after calling the cancellation a “huge loss of representation.”

“Thank you to our incredible team who made every day feel like I was living a dream,” she added.

Jason Antoon also referred to the TV business as “brutal”, while Noah Mills said he would “really miss doing this show”.
