Danielle, 29, has attracted fans’ attention since appearing in season 6 of the drama series, when they realized she is a familiar face from a beloved Disney film.
The Illinois native previously starred as Jessica Olsen in the 2010 Disney Channel Original Movie Starstruck.
The musical follows a Midwestern girl who travels to Los Angeles to visit her grandparents.
While there, Danielle’s character Jessica meets pop star Christopher Wilde, and they quickly develop feelings for each other.
After she returns home, the aspiring Hollywood artist claims he doesn’t know her and has never met her, sparking controversy between them.
Now, the actress joins the cast of The Rookie after a cameo in Vampire Diaries.
The Rookie is ABC’s crime drama that follows John Nolan, the oldest rookie at the Los Angeles Police Department.
The show is based on a real-life officer named William Norcross, who moved to the city in 2015 and joined the force at age 40.

A STAR IS BORN
Danielle grew up in Hinsdale, Illinois with her parents and younger brother.
The actress was discovered at a hair salon in Chicago when she was just 10 years old.
The TV star’s breakout role was in Prison Break, where she starred in five episodes.
In addition to several high-profile commercial jobs, she also appeared as the character Darla in the film The Poker House.

ACTING CAREER
In 2010, she debuted on the Disney Channel in the series Zeke and Luther as Dani, before landing the lead role in the film Starstruck with Sterling Knight that same year.
Following the film’s huge success, Danielle signed a development deal with Disney, which led to her starring in another film, Prom, released in 2011.
In 2013, the actress was cast in the television series The Originals, as a 16-year-old witch named Davina.
Since then, she has appeared in many other TV and film projects.
In 2018, Danielle landed a recurring role on the Freeform series Famous in Love for season two.
Shortly thereafter, she was cast to star in the CBS television drama Tell Me a Story.
The talented star also took to the Broadway stage for her role in Alive Childress’s Trouble in Mind.
Danielle lives in Los Angeles with her longtime boyfriend and fellow actor Colin Woodell.
The couple got engaged in August 2023 after a decade of dating.
