Total Drama Island will return to Cartoon Network later this summer.

Although the series was on hiatus for nearly a decade, the series continued with the spinoff, Total Dramarama in 2018.

The spinoff aired three seasons and a special, ending in 2021.

Now, Total Drama Island is back, but new characters will be the main focus.

Contestants will be “competing for a huge cash prize once again, just like in the original series,” according to Comic.

The revival has already aired two seasons in other countries and plans to arrive in the United States on June 1st.

Cartoon Network shared the Poster for the new series on his page X, formerly Twitter, on Monday.

In it, the main character is in front of a tray of marshmallows.

Behind him, the other characters are sitting on tree stumps around a campfire, most of them looking nervous.

“Ready for more irresponsible reality shows? NEW Total Drama Island returns 6/1 at 9 – next day @StreamonMax #TotalDramaIsland #CartoonNetwork #TotalDrama #TDI,” they captioned the post.

“Come on! This show was everything to me growing up,” said another.

“Remember to support him!” added a third.

“Can’t wait! This is one of the best birthday gifts ever,” one fan wrote.

“Finally!” a fan expressed.

Other fans begged the network to put the original series on Max, formerly HBO Max.

THE REBOOT

Total Drama Island was supposed to be a parody of Survivor and Fear Factor, where 22 teenagers arrived at Camp Wawanakwa to compete in a reality TV show.

Contestants are divided into two and complete challenges every three days.

The winning team gains invincibility while the losing team has to eliminate one of its players.

The last contestant standing wins $100,000.

Total Drama Island 2024 stars Terry McGurrin as Chris McLean, Devan Christian Mack as Chef Hatchet, Eman Ayaz as Priya, Julie Sype as Julia and other supporting characters.

The sixth season takes place 15 years after the first season.

For this new series, contestants will spend two weeks on the island of Ontario, Canada, where one player will win $1,000,000 in Canadian cash.

Chris and Chef Hatchett are the only returning characters.

Chris is the host and Chef Hatchett is the camp chef and co-host.

However, Chris is now voiced by Terry McGurrin instead of Christian Potenza.

And Chef is voiced by Devan Christian Mack instead of Cle Bennett.
