CARTOON Network fans are ecstatic after the network rebooted a beloved show from the 2000s.
The animated comedy series has just released its first trailer after a 10-year hiatus.
Total Drama Island will return to Cartoon Network later this summer.
Although the series was on hiatus for nearly a decade, the series continued with the spinoff, Total Dramarama in 2018.
The spinoff aired three seasons and a special, ending in 2021.
Now, Total Drama Island is back, but new characters will be the main focus.
Contestants will be “competing for a huge cash prize once again, just like in the original series,” according to Comic.
The revival has already aired two seasons in other countries and plans to arrive in the United States on June 1st.
Cartoon Network shared the Poster for the new series on his page X, formerly Twitter, on Monday.
In it, the main character is in front of a tray of marshmallows.
Behind him, the other characters are sitting on tree stumps around a campfire, most of them looking nervous.
“Ready for more irresponsible reality shows? NEW Total Drama Island returns 6/1 at 9 – next day @StreamonMax #TotalDramaIsland #CartoonNetwork #TotalDrama #TDI,” they captioned the post.
