The SYFY network has yet to make a decision on whether or not one of its most popular shows will be renewed.
If it returns, the sci-fi series will likely be moved to another network or possibly streaming.
Resident Alien just wrapped season 3 on SyFy last month.
However, it is unclear whether the show will return for another season.
The dramedy could move from SyFy to USA Network if it’s renewed, according to Deadline.
USA Network does not currently have any original scripted programs.

A source told the outlet that “a return to Syfy seems unlikely.”
The US division Universal Content Productions produces the comic book version by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, so that’s the likely decision.
Deadline also reported that if Resident Alien returns for Season 4, it will see a major budget reduction, up to $500,000 per episode.
Ad-supported cable networks are being affected by “cord-cutting and overall decline in linear viewing.”
‘PLEASE RECONSIDE’
After the news broke on Tuesday, fans begged the network to save the show.
“@SYFY please reconsider and continue #ResidentAlien,” wrote former Twitter user X.
“So @SYFY is dropping the only show I watch on that network. No #ResidentAlien. @SYFY might as well call it quits. And how is it better to move to USA Network?” said another.
“It makes me sad and nervous that #ResidentAlien and #Chucky seem to be in trouble. I’m going to need both of them renewed ASAP please,” added a third.
“RENEW #ResidentAlien SEASON 4 NOW. @SYFY,” begged another.
“Hail #residentalien,” asked another fan.
POSSIBLE FLOW
The show wants to keep Resident Alien on an NBCU station, but if they can’t, they are considering picking it up on a streaming platform.
Netflix would be the likely candidate, as the streamer dropped seasons 1 and 2 on February 13, just one day before season 3 premiered.
However, Peacock, as part of NBCU, is also home to the sci-fi show.
Resident Alien entered Netflix’s Top 10 English-language series for Season 1 after its first five weeks of release.
The series has also appeared on several must-see lists and has an average of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.
