CHICAGO Fire character Joe Cruz found himself in a dangerous situation.

The firefighter appears to be in danger in the trailer for next week’s episode and fans fear he could be leaving the drama.

In season 12, episode 12, the Chicago fire department enters a building that is on fire.

The trailer then shows Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) telling another firefighter, “That’s Cruz. He must be out of breath.”

Cruz is then seen carrying a lifeless body into the building while Severide is heard on the radio saying, “Cruz, report.”

The next scene shows Cruz falling to the ground as his fellow firefighters crowd around him.

Someone says, “Hey, Cruz,” as he’s falling and then the trailer cuts out.

OneChicago fans are worried Cruz’s death means Joe Minoso is leaving the show.

‘PLEASE STOP’

After seeing the trailer during the May 8 episode, fans were worried about Cruz.

They begged the show not to kill him off because they’ve already suffered one death this season.

“I’m NOT missing Cruz and Boden and the same season, no, no, no, #ChicagoFire,” wrote one user on X, formerly Twitter.

“WHAT THE FUCK. I HAVE HAD TO WORRY ABOUT SEVERIDE THIS ENTIRE EPISODE #ChicagoFire. NOW NEXT WEEK I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT CRUZ. PLEASE STOP,” another tweeted.

“Don’t cross…No!! #ChicagoFire,” wrote another.

“God I hope Cruz doesn’t die, losing Boden is bad enough,” one YouTube user wrote after the trailer was posted there.

“Please don’t let Cruz die,” another fan pleaded.

Fans are worried about Cruz’s death and can’t handle it because they’ve already lost another fire chief this season.

Eammon Walker, who plays Deputy District Chief Wallace Boden, is leaving the show after 12 seasons.

Deadline reported that fans will last see the fire chief in the season 12 finale.

Sources told the outlet it was Eammon’s decision to leave and not the writers or producers’.

Boden’s story is expected to end in the end, but they aren’t killing off the character.

He is expected to return to Chicago Fire on a recurring basis in the future.

Boden was absent for most of the season due to family issues, leaving Severide in charge.

New episodes of Chicago Fire air Wednesday nights at 9/7c on NBC and stream the next day on Peacock.
