MAX has pulled the plug on a fan-favorite animated series after one season.
Scavengers Reign is a science fiction series that featured the voices of Sunita Mani, Alia Shawkat, Wunmi Mosaku and Bob Stephenson.
The TV show follows a group of survivors from a damaged space freighter who become stranded on a planet that is beautiful but very dangerous.
Fortunately for fans, the show will continue to be available on the HBO streaming service.
It will also be on Netflix from May 31st.
The show premiered on Max on October 19, 2023, with 12 episodes that ended on November 9.

Many were hoping another streaming service would pick up the show.
“Their loss, the show is incredibly well done,” one wrote.

“One of my favorite adult animated series in recent times. I hope she gets picked somewhere else,” tweeted a third.
A fourth questioned: “Max keeps losing it when it comes to animation. What is the problem?”
A fifth viewer called the series “insanely amazing” and “underrated.”
Someone begged Netflix to pick up the series for a second season.
“What a shame, literally one of the best sci-fi series of the decade so far,” said a seventh.
Another angry fan said: “Lame. It should have been renewed.”
“We can’t have shit in this house,” someone joked.
An X user called HBO’s decision a “huge mess.”
