NBC has shared an all-new lineup and new content set to hit screens in the fall.
The television network changed its programming and put new programs at the forefront.
Kicking off NBC’s fall changes, the network has announced two new comedy blocks in the weekly lineup.
The new block will have a work-oriented comedy block at 8pm on Tuesdays and a family comedy at 8pm on Fridays.
The network also disclosed that the “very stable programming” will be centered around new shows, according to Deadline.
Tuesday’s block will be filled by St. Denis Medical, a comedy set in a hospital.
On Fridays, Reba McEntire will star in the new show Happy’s Place, which sees the musician playing the role of Bobby, who inherits his father’s restaurant only to discover that he will be co-managing the place with his secret half-sister.
A third new show, Brilliant Minds, was also announced.
The medical drama will star American Horror Story actor Zachary Quinto as neurologist Dr. Oliver Wolf.
CANCELED
While NBC has been adding new shows to its slate, another comedy was recently dropped by the network.
NBC canceled Extended Family after just one season, with the finale of its 13 episodes airing in March.
The short-lived show centered on exes Jim and Julia and how they handled life and parenthood after their divorce.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, fans were quick to criticize the network’s sudden cancellation of the show.
“How can NBC hope to rebuild its once impenetrable sitcom reign if it keeps canceling all new ones after just one season? investing on your shows?” one viewer raged.
“I swear to God! It’s like NBC doesn’t want viewers!!!” said a second.
Before the NewsExtended Family creator Mike O’Malley said he had high hopes of returning for a second season.
These pricing changes have allowed Peacock to continue to create the best experience for its viewers, remain competitive in the market and deliver exclusive content across all genres.

“I think our ratings have been good. Everyone in our business you know how difficult it is to find stories, write stories, write episodes. The cast is unbelievable,” he said.
PRICE INCREASE
Along with NBC’s ever-changing schedule, fans were also offended by one of the network’s streaming services.
Last month, it was announced that a price increase for Peacock subscriptions was in the works.
Peacock subscribers can expect to pay $2 more per month or $20 more for an annual subscription.
The change will begin in the summer, with new members paying the higher rate from July, while existing customers’ bills will increase in August.
The price increase appears to be tied to the 2024 Olympics, held in Paris this summer, which Peacock has broadcast rights to.
Despite the amount of content offered by the service, many X fans didn’t think the bill the increase was justified.
“Stop raising the price of Peacock! People will cancel. I can’t afford to pay more and more. [greedy]”, said a user on the social network.
“They need to calm down. Their service isn’t all that,” said a second.
Peacock responded to a fan’s question about the new prices and clarified: “These price changes allow Peacock to continue to create the best experience for its viewers, remain competitive in the market, and provide exclusive content across all genres.”
