FANS have already begun campaigning for 9-1-1: Lone Star to be saved after the CEO of Fox Entertainment shared insight into the show’s future on Monday.
After a months-long delay to the drama’s fifth season, viewers are worried about the likelihood of a renewal.

Originally the home of 9-1-1 and its spinoff Lone Star, Fox now only airs the latter.
After the network canceled the main series, ABC picked it up and is currently airing its seventh season.
With Fox already cutting one of the franchise’s shows from its schedule and delaying the Season 5 premiere of 9-1-1: Lone Star, fans are worried that the network could also cancel the spinoff soon.
The show stars Rob Lowe as a fire captain named Owen Strand and follows the fire, police and ambulance departments in Austin, Texas.
The season 4 finale aired in May 2023, and the show was renewed for a fifth season that same month.
Due to the effects of the SAG-AFTRA strike, Fox has postponed the show’s return to fall 2024.

On Monday, Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade gave an update on 9-1-1: Lone Star’s next season and what lies beyond it.
“Lone Star wasn’t scheduled this year because of the strike, and we’re really looking forward to getting it back in the fall,” he said. Deadline.
“We’re excited about the new season,” said Rob. “We will see how this plays out, as always, and then make decisions about the future of the franchise.”
While he said they won’t be making any decisions about a potential sixth season of the procedural, the Fox boss added that the network is “very focused” on using the show to help launch another series.
Fox is preparing to premiere a new lifeguard drama, Rescue HI-Surf, as part of its fall lineup.
LOOKING FORWARD
Set in Hawaii, the show revolves around the personal and professional lives of lifeguards on the North Shore of O’ahu.
Arielle Kebbel, Adam Demos, Alex Aiono, Robbie Magasiva, Kekoa Kekumano and Zoe Cipres star in the new series.
The cast also includes Ian Anthony Dale, Sea Shimooka and Shawn Hatosy as recurring stars.
Originally slated to have 12 episodes in its first season, Fox recently ordered seven more episodes.
The network announced 9-1-1: Lone Star will air Mondays at 8 p.m., followed by the new beach series at 9 p.m.
To further express its excitement for the new show, Fox revealed that Rescue HI-Surf has won the coveted post-Super Bowl slot for 2025.
A special episode of the series will air on February 9th, shortly after the Super Bowl LIX broadcast ends.

Although the network is focused on this new show, many fans are still focused on 9-1-1: Lone Star and whether or not a cancellation will occur in the future.
FAN CONCERNS
Not waiting to find out before starting their campaign, one fan begged ABC: “Please save 911 Lone Star like you did 911.”
“I actually like this show, so like every other show I liked, it will probably be cancelled,” guessed a second worried fan.
“I will be very sad if #911LoneStar is cancelled,” another fan tweeted.
“I’m not ready to lose my comfort gig,” said a fourth user online, adding, “Fingers crossed we can get an S6.”
