ABC has announced its fall schedule and it’s packed with numerous schedule changes for popular shows.
Abbott Elementary is one of the shows that will be performed.
The comedy will be one of the centerpieces of the fall lineup on Wednesday night.
However, Abbott Elementary will be delayed 30 minutes to 9:30 am.
This is because The Golden Bachelorette will air before 8pm for an hour and a half.
This is a change from The Golden Bachelor, which only lasted an hour.
Abbott Elementary will be the only comedy to air this fall on Wednesday nights.
Disney TV group president Craig Erwich said Deadline“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a program break the culture like Abbott Elementary.”
“We are very optimistic about getting more comedies, I think Golden Bachelor offers a huge, large audience as a great introduction to Abbott Elementary.
The seventh and final season of The Conners won’t air until midseason.
The Rookie and Will Trent are also starting their new seasons at the time of The Conners.
“We remain very dedicated to comedy. I think you’ll see that really happen midway through the season,” Craig said. The Hollywood Reporter.
Craig explained that this doesn’t mean this is the end of these programs.
They just held them back because they want them to have a full season without interruptions.
Following Abbott Elementary, the new documentary series, Scamanda, will premiere at 10pm on ABC.

Grey’s Anatomy, which is entering its 21st season, now airs at 10 p.m.
That’s a full hour later than it normally does.
Grey’s is moving to make room for the new medical drama, Doctor Odyssey.
9-1-1 will begin the evening at 8 p.m.
Abbott Elementary Cast
Abbott Elementary is a documentary comedy that follows teachers at a predominantly black school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Here’s the cast.
Quinta Brunson – creator, Janine Teagues, second grade teacher
Tyler James Williams – Greggory Eddie, initially substitute for a recently fired first grade teacher, but later becomes a full-time teacher
Janelle James – Ava Coleman, the school’s deaf principal
Lisa Ann Walter – Melissa Schemmenti, second grade teacher
Chris Perfetti – Jacob Hill, eighth grade history teacher
Sheryl Lee Ralph – Barbara Howard, a religious kindergarten teacher
William Stanford Davis – Mr. Johnson, the school janitor
“We know that between [Grey’s] viewers, they are not only a sizable audience but also a very loyal one, but the majority of that audience, well over 80%, watches the show on multiple platforms, not specifically live, so we think the change will also be minimal as it will provide a incredible advantage for our local news at 11,” Craig told Deadline.
“And in terms of 9-1-1, it felt like the perfect introduction to what I think is a really fun and unique take on a medical drama in Doctor Odyssey.. So we felt really good on Thursday nights.”
Craig went on to call the changes “a great opportunity for ABC to launch a new show as well as keep Grey’s on a night that has been an extraordinary success for many years.”
