IAIN Armitage has boasted an unexpected acting role – playing matchmaker in Reba McEntire and Rex Linn’s sweet romance.
Iain, 15, appeared on Live! With Kelly and Mark on the day of the Young Sheldon series finale on Thursday, May 17th.

The CBS spinoff ended on Thursday after first hitting screens in 2017.
While it may be difficult for fans to say goodbye to young Sheldon, its titular star shared a loving connection he made happen along the way.
Kelly, 53, asked how Iain recently went to Reba’s farm in Tennessee on the talk show.
“Yes ma’am,” Iain replied with a big thumbs up.
The footage showed a group photo of Iain with Reba – who played Dale’s ex-wife June, and Rex – who played director Tom Peterson.
“We had a lot of fun, it was wonderful,” said the young man on his trip.
‘PARTIAL CREDIT!’
He surprisingly added, “I like to claim partial credit for the fact that Ms. Reba McEntire and Mr. Rex Lynn being together.
“Because they didn’t meet on our show, but they kind of reconnected on our show.”
“Miss Reba has been on our show before, and obviously Mr. Rex, and they are both very kind.”
“I like to say I’m like their adopted son!” as Kelly and her husband Mark laughed.
REBA’S ROMANCE
In fact, Reba has found love again with her current boyfriend, Rex, who she has been dating since 2020.
The two had known each other since 1991, but lost contact and reunited 20 years later.
Rex, 67, and the country star — as fate would have it — met on Young Sheldon.
She was starring in an episode of Young Sheldon at the time and he invited her to dinner.
However, the singer was very tired, but she was in Los Angeles the following week and they met.
“I don’t know what it was, but timing is everything,” Reba previously shared.
“It was like a magnet. I had to go in there and see it.”
She said they have been inseparable ever since.
‘OK WITH MARRIAGE’
Recently, the country singer even revealed that she is open to getting married again.
“If that’s something he feels completely strongly about, that’s fine with me,” she said. AND! News on Sunday.
“He has never been married before. So if he wants to try that, I’m fine with that.”
This is because her second husband, Narval Blackstock, recently remarried a friend of hers.
In addition to Narvel, Reba has already married again.
She was married to wrestler Charlie Battles from 1976 to 1987.
Reba told the outlet that she is “truly committed to Rex,” although she “doesn’t have much faith in being tied to a piece of paper or a ring,” following the dissolution of her second marriage.

Meanwhile, Young Sheldon’s May 16 finale was no easy feat.
The CBS send-off featured two back-to-back episodes, which included the funeral of Sheldon’s father, George Sr.
However, this won’t be the end of Sheldon’s world, after CBS announced a spinoff based on Sheldon’s older brother Georgie Cooper and his romance with Mandy McAllister.
One show was a spin-off prequel to the CBS mega-hit The Big Bang Theory, which ran from 2007-2019.
Young Sheldon saw Iaian take on a role originated by Jim Parsons.
The finale also included a surprise flashback, which showed Jim returning as Sheldon alongside Amy Farrah Fowler, played by the fired Jeopardy! host Mayim Bialik.
It is revealed that Sheldon’s voiceovers throughout the series were actually part of a memoir he is currently writing.
The Young Sheldon finale aired on CBS on Thursday at 8pm ET.
