American Autumn Reeser was best known for her role as Taylor Townsend on The O.C.

The performer, who started her career in snack bar adverts, played her preppy character in the third series of the popular show.

Taylor was an enterprising person, lacking a father figure and also without much attention from his mother.

Playing her troubled character – who always caught the attention of men – she styled her caramel brown hair into natural waves.

She opted for side bangs and kept her makeup fresh.

Her character left in the fourth season, with Autumn starring in 35 episodes in total.

Now, the star’s brown hair is a little darker, but she still opts for minimal cosmetics.

Her latest candid selfies show her bundled up in a blue cardigan sitting on a bench outside.

Mischa Barton discusses drama on the set of The OC

Accessorize fall with gold hoop earrings and a necklace.

In the caption, she wrote: “The point of the entire game is to remember who you are… and who you have always been.

“Come home, be loved.”

Opening

Autumn openly opened up about the television role that shot her to worldwide fame.

In a previous interview, she said: “I feel like there are a lot of girls out there who could really relate to her. [Taylor], who didn’t see themselves that way on TV. I loved that about her.

“I loved that she was unapologetic about who she was, even though she wasn’t what all the magazines said was OK.

“She said, ‘I’m still valid. And I’m amazing. And I know I’m weird, and that’s okay.'”

Autumn appeared on screen as part of the cast of The OC, which also featured the likes of Mischa Barton and Olivia Wilde.

Fans of the series, which aired on T4 in the UK, were recently left stunned after Mischa revealed she was 17 when she filmed romantic scenes with her co-star, who was 25 at the time.

On the screen

The OC – where is the cast of the TV show now?

AUTUMN Reeser starred alongside several famous faces in The OC – but where are they now?

  • Benjamin McKenzie was the biggest teen heartthrob as Ryan Atwood. After The OC, he played Officer Ben Sherman on the crime drama Southland until 2013, and now he’s a regular on the Batman prequel Gotham, playing another main cop – Jim Gordon.
  • Adam Brody played geek chic kid Seth Cohen. At the end of The OC, fans rejoiced when he finally married the girl of her dreams, Summer Roberts, but in real life he hooked up with Leighton Meester, who played Blair Waldorf on the teen drama Gossip Girl. After The OC ended, Adam immediately distanced himself from Hollywood to try his hand at writing comic books, creating the DC Comic series Red Menace.
  • The OC was never the same after troubled Marissa Cooper – played by Mischa Barton – died in a car accident at the end of season three. Since The OC, Mischa has had her own fashion line, Mischa’s Place – which has since closed – and she also appeared on Dancing With The Stars in 2016. She also returned to the screen in Neighbors.
  • Rachel Bilson’s character, Summer, soon became one of the series’ main characters. And Rachel got some pretty decent jobs after the show ended, including roles on How I Met Your Mother, Nashville, and the movie Jumper.
  • Olivia Wilde is probably The OC’s most successful Hollywood star. She played bad girl Alex Kelly on the show, who dated Marissa and Seth. In addition to playing Thirteen in House, she also had roles in 1984’s Tron: Legacy, and most recently starred in and directed Don’t Worry Darling.
  • Cam Gigandet played the OC’s biggest bad boy, Kevin Volchok, and quickly took on a role in Twilight after the show ended, playing the vampire James. He has also appeared in successful films such as Burlesque and Easy A.
  • Following The OC, Kelly Rowan – who played Seth’s mother Kirsten – had a starring role in the crime series Perception from 2012 to 2015. The Canadian has also appeared in a few other US TV shows since then, including Castle and Murdoch Mysteries.
  • Peter Gallagher – who played lawyer Sandy Cohen – had roles on How I Met Your Mother, New Girl, Californication, The Good Wife and Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Peter also released an album when the show ended and appeared on Broadway.

Meanwhile, Autumn also played Lizzie Grant on Entourage, Kate Andrews on No Ordinary Family, and Leslie Bellcamp on The Arrangement.

She also starred in 10 Hallmark Channel TV movies.

Autumn was also in the films Sully, So Undercover and The Girl Next Door.

She’s had a strong career on stage, as well as releasing an autobiography and starring in a video game.

Off-screen, she is a mother of two and divorced from their father, Jesse Warren.

The pair married in 2009 and ended their relationship five years later.

Autumn has gone on to star in a number of roles on stage and screen since finding fame on The O.C.
