A guest star on CBS’s FBI revealed what the audition process is like for the beloved drama.
In an exclusive interview with The US Sun, Zack Palomo, who starred in one episode, said he was surprised by the quick response time.
Zack sat down with The US Sun to talk about his role as Landon Garcia in the FBI.
He starred as the character in Season 6, Episode 6, titled Unexpected, which aired on Tuesday, March 26.
Landon, who carries a poisonous gas called ricin that kills countless people, is chased, captured and handcuffed by FBI agents.
He is eventually taken into custody after his bag is searched and several laboratory materials are found, which were missing from a university campus.

Landon’s home was also searched, where an FBI agent was found unconscious after touching a poisonous substance inside.
He and his friend, Anthony, were kicked out of the environmental group on their college campus.
With the season finale airing on May 21, The US Sun caught up with Zack, who spilled some behind-the-scenes secrets about auditioning for the drama.
‘I THOUGHT THERE WAS MORE’
Zack first talked about his audition process and how he got the role of Landon.
“I got the audition request from my agent and then I sent in a tape of my own, it was super short, it was like two scenes,” he shared.
“One of them was like a prison scene, and the second one was the interrogation scene, and then I sent it. And then, like, a week later, I heard from my agents that I was being put on hold.”
Zack explained that being on hold means he should keep those dates free because that’s when the show is filming.
“And if they decide to use me, that’s fine,” he shared.
“And at that time, I kind of thought there would be more to the audition process, like a callback, maybe even a chemistry read.”
“But I think for shows like this, like Law & Order, all the shows, they’re using new actors to, you know, play guest stars and co-stars, so I think the audition process is very quick and accurate, – Zack said.

“Then the next thing I knew, they said I booked the role and that was it.”
Zack shared that this was his first role in a television series that was already airing and streaming.
He filmed the pilot for a show in Atlanta, Georgia, last summer.
Going blind
US Sun asked Zack if he saw the script before auditioning and he said yes.
