Jason George played Dr. Ben Warren on both shows.

He has been a part of Grey’s Anatomy since season 6 and continues to play a recurring role.

However, Jason, 52, left the series as main star in 2017 to become a series regular on Station 19, which housed many of the same characters.

Station 19 aired the series finale on Thursday night after it was canceled in December.

The ending helped set up Jason’s return to the Grey’s house, as he was ready to head back to the operating room.

A source revealed Deadline that “there is no agreement in place and the exact capacity in which Jason would return to Grey’s Anatomy is unclear, but negotiations are ongoing.”

“The intention is to have him back on the program full time.”

Ben has always had a personal connection to Grey, as he is married to Dr. Miranda Bailey, played by Chandra Wilson.

He was also using his medical training more in the final season of Station 19.

‘Discover a way’

After the series finale, producers Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige expressed that they would like to continue with Station 19 because they have many more stories to tell.

Station 19 fans were overjoyed when the character left and insisted we ‘won’t miss him’ when he leaves the fire department for good

They talked to People about a way to possibly save the show.

“I think we would be happy to go back to these waters,” Peter said after being asked about a possible collection.

“There was a moment when it seemed like there was a realistic possibility of someone intervening, and then that disappeared. So it felt like, ‘Okay, we need to honor what’s here to be honored.'”

However, he shared that if someone came to her and said they wanted to renew the show, he and Zoanne would “work it out.”

SOUND THE ALARM

ABC has decided to cancel Station 19 after seven seasons.

The series was based on the lives of Seattle 19 firefighters.

However, they allowed fans one more season to wrap it all up before saying goodbye.

During its final season, Station 19 reached over 100 episodes.

The drama starred Jason, Jaina Lee Ortiz, Barrett Doss, Gray Damon and more.

Zoanne also said TV line in April that she “will happily go wherever she goes” as the drama was being shopped to Netflix.

“We would be happy, happy, happy to do another season if there was an opportunity to do so,” Peter added.

Fans rallied online for the show to be saved, but their cries went unheard.

Every season of Station can be watched on Hulu.
