ACTOR Erich Anderson has died aged 67 after a battle with cancer.
The actor’s wife Felicity, Saxon Trainor, shared an emotional update with her fans via social media.
Erich played Felicity’s father in the self-titled comedy, as well as horror roles like Rob Dier in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.
The star has been out of the spotlight in recent years due to his illness, with his last film being the 2020 short, Those Who Wait.
Saxon confirmed the sad news on his Instagram.
“My husband Erich died this morning,” she wrote.

“I am sharing the words of my brother-in-law Michael O’Malley as I am too heartbroken right now to write anything.”
Michael’s words have been added to Saxon’s post.
“My brother-in-law Erich Anderson passed away this morning after a brutal fight with cancer,” he began.
Michael then listed several of Erich’s achievements, which spanned his brilliant career.
“He was on that old show 30-something years ago; he was Felicity’s father in ‘Felicity’; he was killed in a basement in a Friday the 13th movie,” Michael listed.
FAMILY MAN
He added that Erich had a role in Star Trek before mentioning more about his private life.
“He was a smart, funny guy, a fantastic cook; he wrote three great novels that you can find on Amazon.
“I will miss him, but his ordeal is over,” the post concluded.
Fans of the star flooded the comments section with condolences for Saxon and his family.
FAN’S LOVE
“Erich was a wonderful actor and I’m sure a great person for anyone who knew him. He was always so striking in his scenes. My feelings”, wrote a follower.
“A giant hug and deep condolences for your loss,” added another.
“I’m so sorry for your loss, Saxon,” said a third with several heart emojis.
“Thinking of you during this time, Saxon. I love you,” praised Yellowstone and House of Lies actor Brad Schmidt.
Saxon’s post was completed with a candid photo of Erich smiling at the camera from what appeared to be his Los Angeles home.
TRIBUTES FROM FRIENDS
Actress Eve Gordon, who played Erich’s on-screen wife in Felicity, took to her Instagram to pay a touching tribute after hearing the news.
“My beautiful friend, Erich Anderson, has said goodbye,” she wrote.
She shared an old photo of her and Erich on the set of Felicity alongside Kerri Russell, who played the main character.

The two spent less time together after their characters divorced on the series, but Eve said they remained close.
“We would hang out and talk for hours. He was so smart,” she added.
“Ah, look at this Erich, I’m using the past tense. My friend, I hope to see you again in dreams and other dimensions. Fly high, my friend.”
