ACTOR Mamie Laverock is said to be in extreme pain after intense surgery which left her devastated, according to her family.

The 19-year-old actress is best known for her role as Rosaleen Sullivan on the Hallmark Channel series When Calls The Heart.

Mamie suffered several serious injuries after falling five stories from a balcony.

Her parents, Rob and Nicole Compton, say she was taken from a secure hospital unit to the balcony where the accident happened.

Now, the star has undergone surgery to heal injuries that appeared to be fine despite the intense pain.

Her family updated fans about her troubles and said she is struggling.

“She had two 11 hour surgeries with two doctors working on her, a three hour surgery and another surgery today,” her family wrote on Instagram.

“We have nothing but gratitude for the doctors and nurses who have been exemplary in caring for her since May 26.”

The family emphasized that Mamie still has a long way to go until she recovers.

They added that she was “doing well compared to when she arrived” and said she survived the “extensive surgeries.”

“She is in tremendous pain and continues to not give up,” the update read.

“We can only hold on to the miracles of each day and continue to thank everyone for their prayers and marvel at the miracles of their history.

“Our daughter loves her life and her family and fights hard every day,” he concluded.
