While Sierra, who plays Grace Ryder on the Fox TV show, has not publicly announced her departure, the news was confirmed by Deadline on Friday.

His departure, along with several other stars’ social media posts, has convinced fans that the drama series is coming to an end.

Robyn Lively, who plays Marlene Harris, mother of Jim Parrack’s character Judd’s son, posted to the show and then deleted a farewell to the series on social media earlier this week.

“So excited to be a part of the final season of @911lonestar!! What a journey it has been!” she wrote in the since-deleted post, according to the outlet.

Other stars have expressed similar sentiments, although nothing official has been announced.

Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade told Deadline in May that the network was working on a decision on whether to renew the show.

He stated that it depended on how viewers received the fifth season this fall.

The cast will remain under options until production on 9-1-1: Lone Star ends on July 19.

Given the deadline, these options are unlikely to be renewed.

The channel noted that while there are options to keep the show going, it is most likely that the fifth season will be the last.

Additionally, it appears that most of the series’ main characters have believed the series is coming to an end since late 2023.

At the time, the show was undergoing contract negotiations with its stars.

The actors’ representatives approached 20th Television in 2022 about possible raises ahead of the fourth season.

Series regulars signed a six-year contract with raises built in, but it’s typical for actors on hit shows to renegotiate the deal to secure substantial raises and add more years.

These negotiations were unsuccessful and the studio postponed renegotiations until after the fourth season.

The actors continued to press, and after major strikes in Hollywood, the cast was told there would be no renegotiations.

This decision indicated that there would be no more 9-1-1: Lone Star after the fifth season.

Fox canceled 9-1-1, Lone Star’s flagship series, only for ABC to pick it up.

It is currently airing its seventh season.

SAVE OUR SHOW

In May, amid the drama, fans came together to call for the show to be saved.

The CEO of Fox Entertainment blamed the strike for the delay in production of the fifth season of 9-1-1: Lone Star.

“Lone Star wasn’t scheduled this year because of the strike, and we’re really looking forward to getting it back in the fall,” he told Deadline at the time.

“We are excited about the new season,” he added. “We will see how this plays out, as always, and then make decisions about the future of the franchise.”

While he said no decisions would be made on the popular procedural, the Fox boss added that the network is “very focused” on using the show to help launch a new series.

Fox is preparing to premiere a lifeguard drama called Rescue HI-Surf.

The show will premiere this fall.

SURF’S UP

The show, which is set in Hawaii, focuses on the personal and professional lives of lifeguards on O’ahu’s North Shore.

Arielle Kebbel, Adam Demos, Alex Aiono, Robbie Magasiva, Kekoa Kekumano and Zoe Cipres will star.

The cast will also include Ian Anthony Dale, Sea Shimooka and Shawn Hatosy as recurring guests.

The show was originally slated to have 12 episodes in its first season, but Fox quickly ordered seven more.

Fox announced that 9-1-1: Lone Star will air Mondays at 8 p.m., followed by the new beach-themed show at 9 p.m.
