FANS of two popular crime mystery shows that normally air new episodes each week are currently facing a major delay.
Americans who faithfully watch new episodes of Dateline NBC every week on Fridays will have to wait until next month before a new episode is released.

NBC announced that there will be no new episodes of Dateline airing this Friday, June 21st.
Lovers of the true crime show will have to wait until Friday, July 5, 2024, for the show to pick up where it left off because of NBC’s preparation to cover the 2024 Paris Olympics.
For a few weeks, NBC will air the Olympic Trials instead of the expected Dateline episodes, which typically air every Friday.
To keep up with its true crime fans, NBC shared a tweet about its show airing on a different network, Oxygen.
On Thursday, June 20, Dateline NBC tweeted from its official X account, formerly known as Twitter.
“Tonight at 8/7c on a new #Dateline: Unforgettable on @Oxygen,” the announcement stated.
“@JoshMankiewicz tells the story of a pastor on Bainbridge Island, Washington, who had a whole new take on the idea of “loving your neighbor.”
On the other hand, true crime fans who watch ABC’s 20/20 have also been hit with unfortunate news about the show.
This Friday, June 21, ABC will not release a new episode of 20/20 as predicted by its regular viewers.
The program is giving up its airtime to air Game 6 of the NHL championship series, Normal television reported.
According to ABC, it releases full episodes of 20/20 every Friday night on its own TV network and for fans to stream on Hulu.
That said, the ABC 20/20 page shows that the only episode that has aired in June 2024 so far came out on Friday, June 8th.
There were no other new airings of 20/20 this month.

However, it doesn’t look like 20/20 fans will have to wait as long as Dateline watchers to pick their favorite true crime show.
Anyone who enjoys watching ABC 20/20 should be happy to know that the show returns with new episodes next week, on June 28th, the time it normally airs, TV news network On TheFlix reported.
ABC has also emptied its primetime schedule to provide live coverage of major sporting events, similar to NBC.
On Friday, June 14, ABC broadcast live Game 4 of the 2024 NBA Basketball Finals.
