BLUE Bloods fans will have to wait a while for anything related to the series.
The drama series was canceled in November 2023 after 14 seasons.
Paramount Global co-CEO Brian Robbins said last month: “In TV, new franchise extensions are coming for Dexter, Billions and Blue Bloods.”
This caused spin-off rumors, but now CBS has an update for fans.
“We don’t have anything that will be in development soon, but it’s a brand, a title and a show that is beloved,” said CBS Studios President David Stapf. Deadline on July 11th.
“We need to get it right, so we’re taking our time and trying to figure out, ‘OK, what’s the next iteration of Blue Bloods?’”
Even though Blue Bloods was canceled, the final eight episodes will air this fall through December.
“We have a whole season ahead of us and we intend to celebrate it all season long… so there’s still time for us to figure that out,” David continued.

CBS announced that Blue Bloods would end on November 20, 2023.
Deadline was the first to break the news.
Tom Selleck has led the drama for the past 14 seasons.
The final season consists of 18 episodes.
When it ends this fall, Blue Bloods will have totaled 293 episodes.
New episodes will also be simulcast live on Paramount+.
Along with Tom, 79, Blue Bloods also stars Donnie Wahlberg, Will Estes, Bridget Moynahan and Vanessa Ray.
The show follows the Reagans, who are a multigenerational family of New York City police officers.

‘ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS’
Fans commented TV linearticle about the spinoff and I think the network should come and renew the drama.
“They should keep Blue Bloods. This is one of the best shows on air. What a shame!” one fan wrote.
“It makes no sense that they canceled Blue Bloods in the first place,” said another.

During an interview with CBS Sunday Morning In May, Tom said he thinks the network should come to its senses and move on with Blue Bloods.
