SETH MacFarlane announced what it would take for him to stop creating new episodes of Family Guy.

Seth, 50, began creating the hit animated show in 1999 and has released 22 seasons over the past 25 years.

He also voices several characters in the series, such as Peter, Brian and Stewie Griffin.

After more than 420 episodes, several specials and several parodies, Seth revealed that he still hasn’t finished creating Family Guy in an interview with LA Times.

The outlet asked if he would be willing to create the program for another 25 years, and he revealed that he was open to the possibility.

He said, “I don’t see a good reason to stop.”

Fans still love the show and it “funds some good causes” like the Rainforest Trust.

Seth admitted that at one point he thought it was “time to call it quits,” but he didn’t.

Now, he won’t stop “unless people get tired of it” and the numbers show that people don’t care anymore.

So far, that hasn’t happened, as the show averages 1.21 million viewers, according to TV line.

That number is down 27% from last season, but it’s still one of the most-watched cartoons on Fox.

Family Guy was so successful that it has already been renewed for a 23rd season.

SETH IS ALREADY LEFT

Seth reportedly quit the show in May of last year in support of the Hollywood writers’ strikes.

He left with producers Brian Boyle, Matt Weitzman, Rich Appel and Alec Sulkin, according to Deadline.

All refused to return until the Writers Guild of America and the studio reached an agreement.

The comedy show had three months of scripts and dubbing already completed.

Then, it was up to the studio to determine the next steps.

Seth was seen on the picket lines after the WGA went on strike on May 2, 2023.

The previous season of Family Guy, which had 20 episodes, ended five days after the May 7 strike.

Seth is also one of the creators and voice actors for the show American Dad!

Once the strike ended at the end of September 2023, Seth and the rest of the team returned to work.

However, it wasn’t until October 2023 that the show’s 22nd season premiered.
