A 90s TV icon looks unrecognizable 23 years after his hit TV series delighted and inspired fans around the world.
It happened when she appeared on the lifestyle show New York Live, shown in the United States, to talk about her time on the new series of My Life Is Murder.

Lucy Lawless, now 56, looked unrecognizable with shoulder-length blonde hair and a sweeping side bang as she discussed her role as PI Alexa Crowe on the long-running show.
The murder mystery crime series was first broadcast in 2019 and follows her ex-cop character as she helps the force solve a series of murders.
However, the Parks and Recreation star, who was born in New Zealand, had a completely different look for her role in Xena: Warrior Princess.
She told New York Live how she filmed both series in her homeland.
However, when playing the titular character of Xena, she had a different look by sporting striking brunette locks.
Lucy wore her hair straight – and lined her eyes with thick black eyeliner – for her role on the fantasy series from 1995 to 2001.
The show ran for six series and gained a cult following, after Xena was originally a recurring character in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.
Instead of her elegant patterned blouse and dark pants worn in her summer interview, for Xena’s horseback antics, she was more accustomed to wearing long leather boots and a metal-plated arsenal.
However, despite the visual changes, Lucy said in her recent TV interview that there were many similarities between her various on-screen characters.
She said: “Seeing the powerful person who did something terrible being held to account.
“We kind of love it.”
Speaking about her latest television role – and changing her speech to Xena – she added: “I’ve never played a character with my accent, so that was a bit strange.
“It’s kind of written for me and around me – there’s a lot of me in it.”
In 2021, Lucy also surprised with another unrecognizable selfie.
It happened when she shared a funny photo of herself in a reindeer onesie, as well as one in which she wore jam jar-rimmed glasses.
After Xena ended, Lucy went on to play Humanoid Cylon Number Three model D’Anna Biers on Battlestar Galactica and had a recurring role as Dine Lewis-Swanson on the hit series Parks and Recreation.
She also played Lucretia in Spartacus: Blood and Sand and associated series.

Previously, Lucy spoke about the life-changing impact of her groundbreaking role.
The Auckland-born star addressed the series of fan letters sent to her during the show’s early days during a candid chat broadcast on the Archive of American Television.
The movie star said: “There were a lot of letters from people who wanted me to be ‘Xena’.
“If people decide to make the character you played their hero, they can do that.
“They will say, ‘You gave me the courage to help me get out of an abusive relationship,’ or ‘It helped me come out to my parents,’ or ‘It helped me quit drugs and become a teacher.’
“I say, ‘Well, you did it. I can’t take any credit for that.
“”Congratulations.’:”
