Mother-daughter duo Sharol and Tionna managed to beat One Bid in the competition, allowing them to move on to playing a pricing game.

The pair were ecstatic that their bid – a dollar more than another contestant’s – allowed them to secure their spot on the game show.

Sharol and Tionna couldn’t contain their excitement as they jumped up and down.

They briefly hugged Drew Carey, who watched as they danced on stage, bumping each other’s hips and waving their hands in the air.

The pair then began shaking, dancing and, for a brief moment, even attacking Drew Carey.

“Oh oh oh!” they exclaimed, cheering and shouting.

Drew laughed nervously, trying to contain himself in front of the live audience and viewers at home.

The game show’s Instagram account posted a few clips of the duo, who showed off their sensational dancing skills before they began playing the game in question: The Big Game.

“These two were fun to watch,” @therealpriceisright, captioned the postalong with the hashtags #PriceIsRight, #Family, #GameShow and #TV.

“This mother-daughter duo was on fire,” the show wrote, during video clips of Sharol and Tionna’s time on stage.

Sharol and Tionna were selected to play the Big Game, where they had the chance to win up to $10,000 in cash by selecting products under a certain price.

Drew Carey read the price target, which for this particular game was $6.50.

“Now we have six grocery items here,” he told the pair, adding that “four of them cost less than $6.50.”

The pair, wearing matching green t-shirts and ripped jeans, nodded, following along as Drew continued to explain the rules.

The price is right, hosts

The Price is Right first appeared on TV in 1972. Fans fell in love with the game show so much that it has been on the air for over 50 years. Over that time, the show has had a few different hosts. Find out who they are below.

Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)

Drew Carey – October 2007 to present

Dennis James – replaced Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also presented the nighttime version

Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools’ Day Special

“All you have to do is tell me which four [are under that price]” he added.

“Every time you get one right, we’ll add a zero to that board,” Drew said.

The board’s starting price was $1, meaning that for every item Sharol and Tionna correctly selected as being less than $6.50, they would win $10, $100, $1,000, or the big one. prize – US$10,000.

The pair then saw six grocery items, including:

  • 16-Ounce Container of Mom’s Best Cereals Quick Oats
  • One Scrub Daddy’s Scrub Mommy scrubbing sponge
  • Box of six Nestlé Abuelita hot chocolate tablets
  • 25oz Jar of Yo Mama’s Spicy Marinara Tomato Sauce
  • One 0.34 oz box of Mommy’s Bliss Baby Probiotic Drops
  • An 11-ounce package of Grandma’s Frozen Noodle Wide Egg Noodles

“Give me one that you’re sure costs less than $6.50,” Drew asked the pair.

The contestants trusted each other before looking at the audience and ultimately selecting their noodles.

They were right – the noodles were $4.29, well below the $6.50 maximum.

“Okay, wow,” Drew said, adding that the price of the noodles was, “More than I thought it would be.”

Sharol and Tionna then selected oats, which ended up costing $3.29.

“The sponge, the sponge!” the pair shouted, before Drew could even ask what item they had in mind as their next choice.

“That’s a big sponge, man,” Drew joked, before revealing the price: $4.99.

“There you go,” he added, as the pair’s total rose to $1,000.

“Hot chocolate, hot chocolate!” Sharol and Tionna shouted as Drew walked towards them.

“You guys have $1,000, you can stop right now if you want, because if you get the next one wrong, you’ll lose everything,” Drew chimed in.

“You get an extra nine thousand if you get it right next time,” he added, giving the pair a few seconds to reflect on their decision.

Sharol and Tionna looked at each other before asking the audience for advice.

The audience agreed with the previous choice, shouting “hot chocolate” at the duo.

“Let’s go with the hot chocolate,” Sharol told Drew.

Drew slowly walked over to the hot chocolate, before revealing the item’s price: $5.49.

The pair burst into screams, running in circles and jumping up and down and dancing around the stage.

The price is right model

Although The Price is Right is mostly about the contestants winning awards, there are other people on the show. Drew Carey is the host and there are a handful of models helping to show off the awards. Meet them here.

Manuela Arbelaez – Joined the show in 2008. Manuela was born in Colombia and also appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Amber Lancaster – She also joined The Price is Right in 2008. Before the game show, Amber was a cheerleader for the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks. She also starred in MTV’s The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, and The Hard Times of RJ Berger.

Devin Goda – Devin joined the game show in 2018 after suffering a football injury and turning his career towards modeling.

Rachel Reynolds – She is the oldest Price is Right model. Rachel joined in 2003. She ran before becoming part of the show.

James O’Halloran – He was offered the job in 2014 after winning the male model search. James grew up in Melbourne, Australia, where he worked as an industrial designer. He dabbled in soap operas, starring in The Young and the Restless.

Alexis Gaube – She is the newest member of the TPIR family, joining the fair in 2021. Alexis studied apparel merchandising and product design at Bowling Green State University before assuming her current role.

“They got a BIG win…” one user commented, alongside several fire emojis, a target emoji, and an exclamation point emoji.

“Good”, they added.

However, not all viewers congratulated the duo so much.

“I hope in the future they learn not to cheat to get ahead!

In competitor queue, the competitor who bids closest to an item’s retail price – without going over – wins the prize and gets to play a pricing game.

“They didn’t cheat! It’s always been part of the rules. Recently, someone bid $1 over another bidder. To everyone’s surprise, the original bidder was the real price and won the extra $500,” replied another user.

Contestants who correctly guess the retail price will receive a $500 cash bonus – or up to $1,000 during the show’s primetime specials.

“That’s completely different!! They offered the EXACT price, regardless of how it was done. These two above, gave their opponent $1 more!! It doesn’t matter if it’s allowed, it’s still CHEATING!!” the original user exclaimed.

You are only allowed to bid $1, or $1 above another bidder, during the One Bid.

“If they had bid $25 to $50 more, they would have won, but they had to do it this way, which makes them CHEATERS!!

“KARMA will find them… always finds their “man”!!!!” they added, clearly upset that the pair managed to get out of the line of contestants and onto the stage fairly.

“Stop being a hater!!!!!!” another user commented, defending the duo.

“I’ll be a ‘hater’ because that’s not right, and just because you can doesn’t always mean you should…………KARMA will find them both tenfold!!” the original user responded.

Still, despite the negativity online, Sharol and Tionna are laughing – and working hard – all the way to the bank, as the duo is now $10,000 richer.
