DANGER! champion Marko Saric left fans wanting more from his competition.
Viewers fell in love with Jeopardy! contestant Molly Fitzpatrick during Friday’s episode.
Halfway through the issue, host Ken Jennings, 49, interviewed Molly about her family’s history with the beloved game show.
“When I was born, Jeopardy! I was playing in the delivery room,” revealed Molly.
While Molly’s father – who she described as a “sore winner” – competed with the doctor to get the most correct answers, her mother was in labor.
“It’s almost like a superhero origin story, you know,” Ken said.
“Through the crucible of that incredible game Jeopardy! produced a super competitor.”
“Or supervillain,” Molly pointed out.
“Ah! We don’t know yet!” Ken added.
The comic book theme continued during Final Jeopardy! round.
Although Molly correctly guessed Batman supervillain Harley Quinn, Marko came out on top and won $26,600 from his two-day total.
THE COMMENTS
Fans took to the comments section and begged the show to give Molly a second chance.
“”Or maybe supervillain.’ I like Molly”, celebrated a fan.
“Molly, for a second chance,” begged another fan.
“If Molly got a second chance on Jeopardy, I would love for Johnny Gilbert to cast her as a supervillain,” a third fan mentioned, teasing another Jeopardy! player.
“Supervillain Molly should meet up with a certain Jeopardy master,” raved a fourth person.
“I like Molly. She’s quirky,” said one commenter.
WINNING THE COMPETITION
Marko – a math teacher from Chapel Hill, North Carolina – not only beat Molly, but also defeated Alison Betts in Thursday’s edition.
Alison’s run was halted after winning five games and winning $121,500 in total.
Although she lost to Marko, Alison is expected to return in the next Tournament of Champions.
In 2021, she previously competed on The Bull**T Game Show, hosted by Howie Mandel.
The program also returned to regular games after a flurry of tournaments.
Danger! The Masters Tournament begins on Wednesday, May 1, according to the ABC Network.
The showdown will feature Jeopardy! Season 1 Masters champion James Holzhauer; Amy Schneider; returning contestants Matt Amodio and Mattea Roach; and newcomers Yogesh Raut and Victoria Groce.
