After host Vanna White, 67, lit up the board with some letters, the WOF player still had a long way to go to solve the puzzle.

“Looks like you’ve already made up your mind,” host Pat Sajak commented after Scott chose some consonants.

As the seconds counted down, Scott shouted out several responses.

“Choose the opportunity! Seize the opportunity! Seize the opportunity!” he screamed.

“It’s that!” Pat celebrated.

Pat opened the gold card and revealed that Scott won a new blue Chevy Equinox, worth up to $40,000.

While sitting inside his car, Scott waved to the excited crowd.

Scott’s Wheel of Fortune victory came after he suffered a brutal defeat on Jeopardy!

YOUR TIME IN DANGER!

In May 2009, Johns Hopkins University alumnus Scott competed in the Jeopardy! College Championship Tournament.

The applied mathematics major competed with Eric Betts, a journalism student at Emory University.

During Final Jeopardy!, hosted by the late Alex Trebek at the time, Scott wrote the wrong answer: “What’s a headline?”

The correct answer was: “What is a deadline?”

Eric surpassed Scott and destroyed his dream of becoming the winner of the 2009 College Championship tournament.

‘IN YOUR WHEELHOUSE’

That same year, Scott opened for Hunterdon County Democrat about his defeat.

The old Jeopardy! the player admitted that Eric “was right in his wheelhouse” with the winning question.

When his episode aired, he mentioned that his campus held a screening to “watch and see if Scott makes it to the finals.”

“It was hard to keep a smile,” said the TV star.

In November 2020, Ken Jennings, 49, stepped into the role of his legendary predecessor.

Ken is the host of Jeopardy! Masters Tournament, which will begin on Wednesday, May 1, according to the ABC Network.

Pat’s career as an iconic presenter will end in mid-June.

Then in September, Ryan Seacrest, 49, will take the reins as host.
