Family Feud fans took to Reddit to discuss the show’s direction in a thread titled “Game show you initially loved but grew tired of?”

“Family War. Not just the [Steve] Harvey version. I can watch a few episodes at a time, but not a marathon,” replied one fan.

Someone responded, referring only to Steve’s version of the show.

“I feel so. Family Feud was fun and caused the occasional contestant to blurt out the most outrageous answer in nearly 15 years,” they complained.

“Now, in the last few seasons, the questions are becoming contrived and obvious just to provoke Steve Harvey’s thousand-yard stare into the camera, to the point where you feel sorry for him having to endure it.”

A third fan agreed, writing: “I don’t feel sorry for him. I’d love to get your paycheck for acting shocked when someone answers ‘breasts’ to ‘name a body part that is round’ or whatever. .”

“It was better when the questions were more of a combination of general knowledge,” posted a fourth.

A fifth commenter wrote: “Today, IMO, the show is unwatchable as at least two questions in the main game are dicey at best and the families who get a dollar a point for the main game score had already over (and teams that were excluded were generally given $100 as the house minimum in the [Richard] It was Dawson).”

RISKED ANSWER

Viewers got to see a particularly steamy response in a clip posted to Family Feud’s official Instagram page on Monday.

The video showed Steve, 67, asking players: “Name something you would do if you saw your husband wearing a thong.”

During the show, a contestant named Craig gave his all to the search despite apparently not having a husband.

“Normally, when I see my husband wearing thongs, I take them back!” he joked.

His teammates applauded the response as Steve took center stage.

Steve Harvey Hosting Presentations

Steve has performed several shows since beginning his stand-up comedy career

1993-2000: It’s showtime at the Apollo

2010 – Present: Family fight

2015 – Present: Celebrity family fight

2012-2019: Steve Harvey/Steve Show

2016-2019: Little bigwigs

2022 – Present: Judge Steve Harvey

He was surprised by the response, so much so that he caused a kind of scene by acting out the removal of an imaginary husband’s panties.

“Give it to me!” Steve said, pulling an invisible strap from an invisible man.

“Sitting there without my damn panties on,” Steve imagined himself saying to his nonexistent partner.

“These belong to me,” he added, pretending to pull the thong over his suit, one leg at a time.

The audience roared with laughter as Steve slowly placed the imaginary thong over his private area.

“There, I stretched them all out of shape and everything!” he said, pretending to be upset.

He repositioned the non-existent thong until it was perfect.

Unfortunately for Craig, “Take Them Back” wasn’t in the frame, but fans loved the silly moment.

“What are you doing if you see your husband wearing a thong?? #SteveHarvey demos! #FamilyFeud,” Family Feud captioned the post.

“Funny as hell,” commented one fan.

“Sitting here without my damn panties. Don’t stretch them,” she posted a second, echoing Steve’s sentiments in his pretend scenario.

“Perfect response and reaction from Steve,” wrote a third.

“That’s a very good answer. I wonder why it’s not there,” she shared a fourth, supporting Craig.

“Steve Harvey is the best game show host,” exclaimed a fifth.

BIG MISTAKE

A day earlier, Family Feud fans were left confused by an interaction between Steve and a contestant.

The game show player gave a “dirty” answer that was actually on the board.

Family Feud posted a throwback clip on TikTik that showed two competitors taking the podium for the first round.

Steve asked them, “Name a part of your body that might look like a carrot.”

A man came in and replied, “Penis.”

The audience gasped as Steve let out a sigh and turned to check the board.

To his surprise, “Man part” was listed with 18 points.

“#SteveHarvey has no words #FamilyFeud,” the caption read.

In the comments, fans reacted to the shocking correct answer.

“Steve’s reactions are priceless,” joked one fan, adding laughing emojis.

“Why does he ask the weirdest questions, like he’s trying to get them to say something dirty and then is surprised when they do or say something dirty?” asked one TikTok user.

In May, the show was deemed “cheeky” by fans following an NSFW request.

Steve asked players to “name something a couple could do together at home, naked.”

Contestant Regina responded: “Make love.”

Steve turned to the board, sure the answer would be in one of the top positions.

Number two turned, but instead of “Make love”, the answer said: “Barbecue, the sausage”.

The audience laughed when the contestant asked, “What the hell?!”

“The family feud is getting a little raunchy,” commented one online critic.

“Enough of a show called ‘Family’ Feud,” complained another.

In July, a source discussed Steve’s handling of uncomfortable questions and answers on the show, assuring fans that he knows what he’s doing.

A source exclusively told The US Sun: “Family Feud is one of the few game shows whose repeat episodes attract as many eyeballs as the original shows, and in the world of free TV, that’s a license to print money.”

“Plus, the format has been translated to dozens of countries around the world and the hosts also know how to turn the show into a wild experience.

“It’s all part of the package.”

The source claimed that Steve’s responses are “not calculated” and that he improvises his reactions and responses based on crazy answers.
