DANGER! has launched its first national tour and fans might want to know what’s coming next – if they can get a hard-fought ticket, that is.
Here’s everything you need to know about Inside Jeopardy! Live on Tour, which The US Sun attended during its launch last Friday in New York City.
Danger! will tour the United States with his new Inside Jeopardy! Live event.
No future dates have been announced yet, but the tour’s debut at the Edge at Hudson Yards gave a full idea of what to expect.
The inaugural live show was held on the intimate venue’s dizzying 101st floor, with 230 attendees surrounding the small stage.
The two-hour event began promptly at 6:30pm, with executive producer Michael Davies and producer Sarah Whitcomb-Foss as masters of ceremonies.
The stage had seats for them and their guests, as well as a screen on each side.
It opened with a video montage showing Alex Trebek through the years and ultra-rare script photos from the first 1964 episode.
Producers joked that the frighteningly high elevation suited the release because they were trying to “elevate” Jeopardy!

Most of the show was a live taping of Inside Jeopardy! podcast and the showrunners made the first announcements.
They announced that they are changing the eligibility rules to allow Kids Week and Teen Tournament or College Jeopardy participants to re-enter the pool of contestants.
EP Davies said he had a “more aggressive proposal” – he wants to further relax the eligibility rules and allow all previous players – including major champions – to re-audition for the night show after 10 years.
“We’ll see if I can get this across to Sarah or our colleagues at Sony,” he added, to which producer Foss clarified: “Not yet.”
Executives also announced the divisive selection of Amy Schneider as the final Masters competitor.
“We have to recognize that there were several worthy people. But one person stood above all others,” Davies said. “I have to believe they can get up on that stage at the Masters and beat everyone,” he added.
“Secondly, we are a TV show. We depend on the ratings,” he admitted, saying Amy’s “following” was a factor.
Amy placed third at last year’s Masters, eliminating her from this year’s event.
She also lost decisively to Victoria Groce at the recent JIT, which sent Victoria into the Masters and, in the opinion of many, meant that Amy would be disqualified, sparking backlash from fans.
MATTEA AND MATT TALK MASTERS
The event then featured special appearances from future Masters candidates Mattea Roach and Matt Amodio.
They talked about Jeopardy! Masters before Season 2 in just a few weeks, premiering on May 1, 2024.
The six current top-ranked competitors will face off in primetime on ABC: Masters Season 1 champion James Holzhauer, returning competitors Matt, Mattea and Amy; and newcomers Yogesh Raut and Victoria Groce.
I feel like a stronger competitor.
Matt AmodioDanger! Masters Candidate
Mattea shared that last year’s Masters players have developed a “great bond” and are looking forward to meeting newcomers Victoria and Yogesh.
Mattea, who nearly defeated James last year, has vowed to get revenge for the Canadian leads that James took from them.
Matt surprised the audience by revealing that he has been preparing a lot since last year’s Masters: “Although I didn’t learn everything I set out to achieve, I feel like a stronger competitor.”
Next up, Celebrity Jeopardy! finalist Katie Nolan appeared and said that Ken Jennings refused to speak to her backstage and preferred to sit “alone in a corner”.
KEN ON STAGE
Finally, host Ken, 49, was introduced as the last guest and received a standing ovation.
EP Davies said Ken “won the presenting job”, referring to Mayim Bialik’s dismissal and added that he makes “something so difficult look easy”.
Ken answered several fan questions, including the hardest part of hosting.
“I found Final Jeopardy very difficult at first,” he said, and admitted that this season’s “endless tournaments” were “not our choice.”
He also said that hosting Masters instead of competing is great because “I can enjoy these high-pressure situations without the stress.”
Each stop on the tour will likely feature different stars of the show, and attendees didn’t know in advance who would be featured.
GAME FAIL
The event concluded with, for the first time, a new interactive mobile game Jeopardy! hosted by none other than Ken.
The game is multiple choice and participants answer on their phones, except in Final Jeopardy, where participants can write their answer.
However, only a third of participants were able to log on and compete.
“230 participants and only 80 of us got to play,” wrote one participant on Reddit.
“[Producer] Sarah was quite upset about this at the next happy hour. I have no doubt they will fix this for future events.
“Great event though, and I highly encourage people from other cities to participate.”
Another Redditor who attended confirmed: “Yes, it was there and I couldn’t connect. It was fun to watch, but I was bummed that we couldn’t participate because their show couldn’t handle it.
“All in all, it was a really fun time.”
MORE ABOUT THE TOUR
Guests were also treated to a corner bar featuring Jeopardy! with the theme “Potent Potables” and exclusive products, in addition to the main competitors who stayed there to meet everyone.
Tickets were $40 for general admission, $60 for premium (which included a fancy tote bag), and $200 for VIP, which entailed an after-party with the contestants.
However, fans may want their laptops ready when tickets go live because the New York event sold out in minutes.
In fact, tickets sold out before they were scheduled to be released, which is another area of work in progress.
Danger! airs at 7pm ET on ABC – check your local listings.
