STEVE Harvey slapped a Family Feud contestant after being stunned by the player’s jaw-dropping response to a simple question.
Family Feud shared a clip of the question and the intriguing answer on the game show’s Instagram account.
Show host Steve, 67, said: “We asked a hundred women [to] name one reason why you might turn down a date with a cute guy.”
The video fast-forwarded to contestant Sam’s response, which, to Steve’s surprise and the audience’s delight, was “She’s on the cycle.”
The contestant’s family clapped and cheered as the comedian looked distraught.
Sam even tried to encourage himself as he repeated, “That’s a good reason.”
Finding the words, Steve looked at the player and said, “Sam, it’s a simple question.”
“Name one reason why you might turn down a date with a hot guy,” he said, before adding, “They’re just going to eat.”
Steve slapped Sam on the shoulder angrily and shouted, “People eat according to their cycles every day!”
“What if it’s the first date?” asked the player to which Steve, now practically shouting, replied: “I don’t care if it’s the first date!” as the studio audience howled with laughter.
Sam didn’t budge as he reasoned, “Let’s say they go to the pool.”
Steve looked at the family member next to Sam, who looked equally in disbelief, and asked, “Do you see how she’s looking at you?” put an end to the competitor’s disputes.
In the comments section, fans seemed to agree with Sam, as one person wrote: “[The] most accurate answer ever. This man knows women.”
“Actually, it might be true because the weather goes up and down,” mentioned another.
“But he’s right,” added a third.
One shared: “The slap to Sam. Harvey was like ‘what?! me’”, followed by several laughing emojis.
“Why [are] they are mad at him, he [is] right,” agreed one user.
Previously, Steve exploded and yelled at a contestant after he asked for another phrase meaning naked.
Contestant Arvell blurted out the word, naked, but spelled it “nekkid.”
The game show host cringed at the response and asked, “Do you think because you’re pronouncing the word naked as nekkid that means you’re different?
“You think you can’t be trying to do this on national television?”
“Two of these people are teachers in the family!” he complained.
“You’re going to sit here on national TV and say, ‘nekkid!’ And then point at the damn board!”
The host placed the cards next to the contestant and shouted, “Like we’re going to let you get away with it!”
“I bet you said ‘Nekkid’ in one of your comedies!” Arvell defended himself, referencing the Original Kings of Comedy star’s sassy stand-up act.
“You’re on Family Feud! That’s not a comedy routine!” the comedian shouted.
FAN RESPONSE
In the comments section, viewers continued to mock the player for his “ridiculously idiotic response.”
“Steve sure can’t stand stupid, prideful people,” trolled one viewer.
“Naked! Was that so hard?” another viewer responded.
“Bro, you lost your entire career on national television with that stupid answer,” said a third viewer.
A fourth fan commented: “It drives me crazy when Steve gets worked up over a stupid answer and she’s really up there!”
“Poor Steve. You put up with so much madness!” a fifth person chimed in before adding: “The clacking of cards on the table!”
