A WHEEL of Fortune contestant left the internet intrigued with a peculiar mammal-related glitch on Tuesday night.
Kimberly from Florida – mom and “glamping” fan – went up against Russ from Cleveland and Marie from Michigan to win big money.
Kimberly controlled a three-word puzzle in “Living Things” and said: “DU_ _ – _ ILLE D’ ‘PLATYPUS”.
The correct answer was “Duck-billed platypus.”
She fell into an express wedge, which meant she needed to get the right card to have the opportunity to play an express round.
However, Kimberly surprised fans with her next move – shouting “F.”
The crowd groaned and Pat Sajak, 77, said, “Sorry.”
Marie took control and instantly solved the problem as “Duck-billed Platypus,” while Pat joked that it was one of the “weirdest-looking animals in the world.”
Instead, she won a trip to Puerto Rico worth $7,863.
‘FULL OF WHAT?’
Viewers flocked to X (formerly Twitter) wondering what happened there – and if she was thinking the puzzle was actually a plate of food.

“Oh my God, that was painful. F?? Did she think the platypus was full? with what exactly?” wrote a fan on X.
“#WheelOfFortune This lady said “f” ” wrote another.
“#wheeloffortune She’s going to get spanked for losing that puzzle,” wrote a third.
“These people on Wheel of Fortune will really raise your blood pressure,” wrote a fourth.
“A platypus full of duck!? #WheelOfFortune,” wrote a fifth.
PAT IS A WRAP!
Meanwhile, Pat not only marked his final day as host, but also recorded his farewell episode, which The US Sun can exclusively reveal.
He will say goodbye to the masses in the season 41 finale on Friday, June 7, 2024.
But a rep for Wheel of Fortune exclusively confirmed to The US Sun that Pat filmed her final six-episode series on April 5, 2024.
This includes its final episode, aptly titled “Thanks For The Memories,” and it’s already filmed, the show is shared exclusively.
This means that Pat is done hosting the iconic game show and the episodes fans are seeing come when he is already off and retired.
The episode will be a TV milestone, as the presenter has been handing out puzzles and prizes alongside Vanna White, 66, since 1981 and 1982, respectively.
The show hasn’t said whether Pat’s farewell episode will be a total tribute to the memories of all the years or simply continue as usual.
Tickets for Pat’s penultimate five episodes opened to the public at the last minute, while her farewell episode was reportedly invite-only.
Pat announced in spring 2023 that she would be leaving the iconic game show and that the 41st season would be her last.
Shortly after, Ryan Seacrest announced on Instagram that he would be replacing Pat as the new host in the fall of 2024.
The show airs weekdays at 7:30 pm ET on ABC, so fans can catch his farewell on June 7 at that time.
