Price is Right’s Drew Carey Gives Ryan Seacrest Crucial Wisdom Before Host Takes the Reins of Wheel of Fortune

THE PRICE is Right host Drew Carey offered hilarious words of wisdom to Ryan Seacrest.

In September, Ryan, 49, will take the reins as host of Wheel of Fortune.

In an interview with Entertainment tonightDrew, 65, was asked if he had any advice to share with the American Idol host.

“Do I have any advice for billionaire Ryan Seacrest?” the funnyman replied.

“Who hosts everything all the time? No.”

In addition to American Idol, Ryan has hosted Live With Kelly and Ryan and has his own radio show.

“Bro, I think you understand. I think you know what to do,” the stand-up comedian added.

“I think you know how to host things. Don’t worry about that.”

“You’re going to be fine,” he closed.

‘HE WAS SO GOOD’

Whose line is this, anyway? alumnus replaced the late Bob Barker, 99, as game show host in 2007.

He got serious when talking about the Price is Right icon.

The TV star admitted that it was not easy to fill someone else’s shoes.

“[Bob] was so good at it,” Drew told the same channel in September 2023.

“He was very good at relating to people and getting them to relax and be themselves.”

“You observe their behavior and attitude. He never seemed stressed,” concluded Drew.

At the same time, the presenter showed off a drastic weight loss with the premiere of the new season of Price is Right.

Wheel of Fortune Host Timeline

Although Pat and Vanna have been a fixture on the game show for decades, there have been other hosts:

Chuck Woolery was the host from 1975 to 1981

He co-hosted alongside Susan Stafford (1975 to 1982)

Vanna White took over as host in 1982 and has been since then.

After a contract and salary dispute, the show got rid of Chuck and brought back Pat in 1982.

Pat hosted Susan for a season

He then left the game show in 1989 to host a late-night talk show for CBS.

For five months, NFL player Rolf Benirschke took his place

In July 1989, Bob Goen hosted the show on CBS

He hosted for a year and a half until the show was canceled in 1991

The show was then moved to ABC, with Pat and Vanna hosting in the near future

In 2023, Pat announced his retirement and Ryan Seacrest was quickly named his replacement

In early March, Drew said People that he lost 36 pounds after cutting out carbs and doing 45-minute cardio several times a week.

He changed his eating habits and removed pasta, cakes and other sugary and fatty foods from his diet.

“I like the energy I have right now, I like how I feel and I like the lucidity I have in my thoughts,” the TV personality shared.

Meanwhile, Pat Sajak’s run as the iconic Wheel of Fortune host will end in mid-June.

Vanna White, 67, will remain co-host as a familiar face to veteran fans.

Fans are eager for Pat’s daughter Maggie, who is a social media correspondent, to replace Vanna.
