The contestants shared with TV insider how excited they were to be back on Jeopardy! and what they look forward to most.

However, he did tell the channel what makes this iteration of the game show and the current contestants stand out.

“There’s a part of their brain that, while they’re playing and keeping all the strategy in mind, is also aware that they’re on TV,” Ken said.

“They’re playing for the cameras, for their fans and for the home audience, you can tell they’re comfortable and having fun playing Jeopardy!, and that’s a lot different than every night on the syndicated show.”

Ken also added that although he was the host of Jeopardy! and has to “command the game”, he loves being there as a fan and watching the six competitors compete too.

“You never know what kind of comeback or change of fortunes awaits them. I think we will see a lot of crazy rollercoaster finishes in this tournament,” he said.

“It’s really anyone’s game.”

LISTENING TO THE MASTERS

Current Masters Tournament competitors also spoke to the channel about how they are doing this season.

“I feel very confident in myself, but at the same time I recognize that this is probably the hardest field that has ever gotten me here, so I don’t take anything for granted,” said James, 39, Season 1 champion . .

However, Victoria said she is excited to be on Jeopardy! Masters because she will be able to play six more games of the game show.

Meanwhile, Amy expressed some doubts about her abilities.

They’re playing for the cameras, for their supporters, and for the home audience, you can tell they’re comfortable and having fun playing Jeopardy!, and that’s a lot different than every night on the syndicated show.

“I know that anything less than my best effort and my complete focus, I don’t stand a chance against these people,” she said.

Meanwhile, Yogesh acknowledged the skills of his competitors and said they are all in the tournament because they are “high-level players.”

Mattea also gave a shout out to her competitor, James.

“It would have been the steal of the century if I had managed to win the Masters last year. James was head and shoulders above most of the competition,” they said.

Matt tries to separate the syndicated show from the Masters, as he knows his competition is greater at the Masters.

“I know things are going to get a little deeper, so I try to know just a level of depth beyond what I thought would be necessary in a regular syndicated episode because it’s the Masters,” he said.

MATE SUGGESTION

Although the contestants seemed to get along well in the video, they have been protecting each other online recently.

On Wednesday’s episode, Matt suffered a huge loss to Yogesh and then took shots at him on social media.

The 38-day champion congratulated the controversial three-day champion and winner of the 2024 Tournament of Champions for pulling off a full escape against him and Amy.

“Sometimes you lose a #Jeopardy game and think ‘that was bad luck, I deserved to win this one.’ Other times you lose a #Jeopardy game to Yogesh. Well played, very impressive!” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Matt ended the tweet with “(…except FJ)” with a winking emoji.
