PAT Sajak was as surprised as the Wheel of Fortune players.
The ending of the celebrity version of Wheel came down to a shocking final puzzle.
Neil deGrasse Tyson, Tony Hale and A Black Lady Sketch Show star Robin Thede are competing on Monday’s episode.
Players are trying to solve a final puzzle about fame, which was in the “People” category and TV Insider released a clip of the shocking moment ahead of tonight’s episode.
Wheel gave players two “N’s” and then Robin, 44, guessed a “D.” There was one on the board.
Tony, 53, got an “R” and also got one right.
Neil, 65, called a “G” and one appeared on the board.
So, Robin called “A” again and she hit the jackpot.
Although she didn’t receive any money for the vowels, three As appeared in the puzzle.
Not many cards were revealed, but Robin guessed and shouted, “All my adoring fans.”
She was right and shook her head while the other contestants stood in shock.
“What?” Neil shouted, while Tony clapped.
Pat, 77, walked to the podium and stood next to Neil.
“As an astrophysicist, can you explain what happened?” he asked.
All Neil could say was “What?”
“Hey, that was really good. That came out of nowhere,” Pat turned to Robin.
Wheel of Fortune Host Timeline

Although Pat and Vanna have been a fixture on the game show for decades, there have been other hosts
Chuck Woolery was the host from 1975 to 1981
He co-hosted alongside Susan Stafford (1975 to 1982)
Vanna White took over as host in 1982 and has been since then.
After a contract and salary dispute, the show got rid of Chuck and brought back Pat in 1982.
Pat hosted Susan for a season
He then left the game show in 1989 to host a late-night talk show for CBS.
For five months, NFL player Rolf Benirschke took his place
In July 1989, Bob Goen hosted the show on CBS
He hosted for a year and a half until the show was canceled in 1991
The show was then moved to ABC, with Pat and Vanna hosting for the foreseeable future.
In 2023, Pat announced his retirement and Ryan Seacrest was quickly named his replacement
“Thank you. I’m shaking,” she said before the clip ended.
CELEBRITY SHOWDOWN
Celebrity Wheel of Fortune has public figures competing to win $1 million for the charity of their choice.
It follows the same format as the syndicated version, only with celebrities.
Neil is playing for the Harlem Educational Activities Fund.
Robin is competing for Girls Inc and Tony is raising money for Stand Up To Cancer.
Watch the three finalists compete on May 13th at 9/8c on ABC.
DISAPPEARANCE
In the last episode, Wheel of Fortune fans were shocked when the contestants couldn’t guess the name of Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.
Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter competed against Schitt’s Creek’s Sarah Levy and designer Christian Siriano.
They tried to solve a puzzle with the “family” category.
The entire puzzle except two letters was guessed and the contestants were still unable to solve it.
Pat joked, “We’re getting there,” as Krysten continued spinning.
“Am I brain dead?!” she asked, after failing to solve the NFL’s most popular sibling duo.
“Uh, if you’re still having trouble here, go ahead and pivot,” Pat told her.
Only the “K” and “C” in Kelce were missing from the “Travis and Jason Kelce” puzzle.
So, she only had to guess the “K”, but she still spun.
Krysten finally guessed the letter and Pat asked her to read the puzzle so she could get her money.
She mispronounced their last name, admitting she didn’t know who they were.
Sarah then explained that they were football players and Travis is Taylor’s boyfriend.
“That’s how I know who they are,” she said.
Fans wondered if the celebrities were joking and said it was painful to watch.
