A contestant named Michael came out negative during Double Jeopardy!, something that happens when you get more answers wrong than you have money.

However, Michael was right with one answer in the Men In Medicine category, he went from the negatives to $0.
He had a chance to make Final Jeopardy! question, but got the answer wrong in the Colonial America category, bringing it back to -$400.
The question was, “If you needed any upholstery work in this town, you could go to the store that Betsy and John Ross ran on Arch Street.”
Michael was the first to enter. He replied, “Boston.”
“No! I’m sorry. It was in Philadelphia, Michael. That means you won’t be back in time to get on Final Jeopardy,” Ken replied.
“But it was exciting to watch, we loved having you.”
“I loved being here,” Michael said, clearly dejected.
‘I FEEL SO BAD’
On X, formerly Twitter, fans praised Michael and revealed that they were “pushing” for him to get through the round.
2021 Jeopardy contestant Lindsay Wilcox said, “Auuuuugh! I was rooting for Michael to make it! So close. Well fought.”
“Would it have been a lost cause? Maybe. But it was great to see Michael come back from the red,” tweeted a second.
“I feel bad for Michael. So close,” said another person.
Oh no! I was sure Michael would get back on the positive side after getting out of hand,” shared a fan.
“However, a costly mistake on the last track caught him out. He had to go for it and I certainly couldn’t blame him.
“Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.”
Danger! guest hosts
Since Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek died in November 2020, the beloved game show has continued with several guest hosts in 2021 to the present day:
“I had to try, Michael. Glad you did it,” a fifth admitted.
DANGER! MASTERS
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, fans get Double Jeopardy! while the second edition of Jeopardy Masters is underway.
Viewers will watch Victoria Groce, Yogesh Raut, James Holzhauer, Amy Schneider, Mattea Roach and Matt Amodio compete for the title.
Last year, James was the first winner of the spin-off game.
On Friday, May 10, Victoria was in the lead, with Yogesh not far behind.
Thirdly, James, then Amy, then Mattea, and finally Matt.
