PAT Sajak, host of Wheel of Fortune since 1981, received praise from fans shortly before his departure.
The popular game show recently aired a montage of Pat’s funniest lines from throughout her time on Wheel of Fortune.
The moment showed Pat, 77, sharing clever jokes with contestants over the years.
The first joke showed him and his co-host, Vanna White, 67, as he turned to a skeletal figure and asked, “How long have you been waiting to be a contestant on Wheel?”
Other clips had the audience laughing as he quickly responded to contestants about their careers.
After the segment aired, Vanna turned to Pat in real time and said, “You’re so funny!”

“Actually, you are the best audience because I can make you laugh very quickly,” he told his co-host.
Pat then said that the show would air more memorable moments from his career in the episodes leading up to his exit.
ONE OF A KIND
The clip was shared on WOF’s Instagram account with the caption: “Pat has jokes – he always does.”
In the comments, fans praised the longtime host and said they would miss him on the popular show.
“Just one more month [crying],” one person wrote, while a second added, “Pat and his humor omg I’m going to miss him!!”
“I love Pat’s sense of humor! Pat is so funny and hilarious! He may be a Wheel of Fortune host, but he’s also a comedian,” said a third.
“I’m so upset. I’m going to miss him,” wrote a fourth.
“The GOAT of game show hosts. You can never be replaced, Pat. You’re amazing!!” a fifth observed.
“I’m going to miss him a lot. It won’t be the same without him,” added another.
“I hope Ryan Secrest is as fun and funny as Pat. He has big shoes to fill,” another person wrote.
Wheel of Fortune Host Timeline

Debuting in 1975, the beloved game show has had a few different iconic hosts over its nearly 50 seasons.
ROBOTIC RYAN?
After Pat retires in June, Ryan Seacrest, 49, will host the beloved game show.
Ryan, who has hosted American Idol, Live with Ryan and Kelly and his own radio show, will officially start the new show in September 2024.
Pat’s last official show will be on June 7th for the season 41 finale.
Vanna will maintain her role and host alongside the newcomer.
Although Ryan has not yet stepped into Pat’s shoes, viewers have already shown that they are not too enthusiastic about the replacement.
After the news was announced last year, many fans wanted Pat’s daughter, Maggie Sajak, who is a social media correspondent, to take over.
Others wanted to see Maggie take over Vanna’s position and Vanna take on the main role of host.
“Vanna should have taken over and Maggie should have taken Vanna’s place. Makes me think they’re saying a woman can’t do Pats’ job,” said one fan on social media.
“I like Ryan, but he doesn’t have the personality for Wheel. I also believe Maggie and Vanna would be the best choice,” a second added.
“Vanna or Maggie would have been much better choices!” wrote another.
Along with Pat’s daughter, some fans said they wanted to see Joel McHale as the new host.
“Joel is quick-witted and Ryan is very robotic. I would prefer Joel over Seacrest,” someone wrote.
Joel, 52, is an actor and comedian known for hosting shows such as The Soup and Card Sharks.
