The post was captioned: “Let’s let the numbers do the talking before the semi-finals tonight at 8pm on ABC.”

First placed Victoria was shown to have a correct answer percentage of 93%, the highest correct daily double bet at 20,800 and the highest final score at 50,000.

Sitting in second place, Yogesh Raut was revealed to have a correct answer percentage of 92%, his highest correct daily double bet was $15,400 and his highest final score was 36,400.

In third place, James Holzhauer had a correct answer percentage of 91%.

The Jeopardy Masters champion’s highest correct daily double bet was $20,000 and his highest final score was 46,108.

Last was Amy Schneider, who matched James’ percentage of correct answers.

His highest correct daily double bet, however, was just 10,600 and his highest final score was 36,001.

In the comments section, a fan complained after seeing the statistics: “Anyone but Victoria.”

“I just can’t support Victoria,” agreed another.

They continued: “When she’s on The Chase, she sits there and knits, almost as if she’s saying ‘I’m so much smarter than you that I barely need to pay attention.’

Danger! Masters fans spot James Holzhauer’s ‘forgotten link’ with Victoria Groce – and think that’s why he’s ‘frustrated’

“I think that’s very presumptuous and rude. I’m team James all the way!”

A third person wrote: “Victoria and Yogesh have been an absolute clinic. As a James fan, I’m nervous.

“Still rooting for JAMES!” added another hopeful fan.

CUT TO THE CHASE

Recently, Jeopardy! Masters viewers noticed that James and Victoria have a connection outside of their beloved game show.

Fans theorized that their call could be causing James to feel even more frustrated about being in third place in the tournament.

Six of the top contestants on Jeopardy! They will face each other in the 2nd season of the program’s Masters tournament.

The competition began last month and features James, Victoria, Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach and Yogesh Raut.

A few weeks later, only four players remain as they prepare to battle in the semi-finals.

Mattea and Matt did not qualify to advance in the tournament, with the former placing fifth and the latter placing sixth.

Going into the next round, Victoria is currently in first place with 16 match points, Yogesh in second with 10 points, James next with nine points and Amy in fourth with 6 points.

In the early rounds, each hour-long episode of the Ken Jennings-hosted special featured two games with different combinations of contestants.

Fans speculated that James thought the competition would be another easy win, as the announcer revealed on the show that James’ occupation was “the self-appointed Final Boss of Jeopardy!”

After placing third for most of the tournament, viewers noticed that the player looked disappointed.

Some people on social media are now realizing that he is probably feeling even more defeated because of his connection to rival Victoria outside of this game show.

FEELING FRUSTRATED

“I’m a fan of James but he’s fighting Victoria,” said one fan on Facebook. “He is clearly frustrated.”

“Since he knows her outside of Jeopardy, it probably affects him in a different way,” another viewer suggested, referencing how they are both Chasers on ABC’s The Chase.

The game show, The Chase, sees a group of contestants try to win money by defeating a trivia expert known as the Chaser.

Some fans on social media have theorized that James is probably feeling even more defeated because of his connection to rival Victoria outside of this game show.

WHAT IS IT: THE MASTERS AGENDA?

Along with James and Victoria being top scorers on the show, Jeopardy! host Ken also took on this role.

Brad Rutter, Brandon Blackwell, Buzzy Cohen and Mark Labbett also took turns as scorers on the game show.

“I think [James] met his match in Victoria”, insisted a fan on social media.

“I thought that too, but now I think Queen Victoria is too much for him,” admitted a second.

Viewers also theorized that James’ third-place finish was the reason the game show made an unusual mid-tournament change.

Typically, Jeopardy! The Masters would share each competitor’s profession by introducing them before each game.

In early episodes, the announcer would share that James’ job is simply to be the “self-appointed Final Boss of Jeopardy!”

When the third episode arrived, they started just saying the players’ names, and fans speculated that they dropped the occupation part because of James.
