A NEW game show already has fans talking – and it hasn’t even started airing yet.
The show, from executive producer Kevin Bacon, offers a 50-50 chance for the top prize of $1 million dollars.
ABC picked up the game show Lucky 13 – a true or false challenge from the creative team that developed Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.
Former Orlando Magic star Shaquille O’Neal and actress Gina Rodriguez will host the show, which is currently casting contestants.
The program tests participants’ knowledge with 13 true or false trivia questions, but with a variation based on confidence in the answers, according to Deadline.
If a player can accurately predict how successfully – and unsuccessfully – they answered 13 questions, they could take home a million-dollar jackpot.
But first they have to get through the app.
In addition to the typical background check, there are free-answer questions on a variety of topics, including “What is your unique and personal motivation for wanting to do the program?” and “Finish this sentence: ‘Even if it’s not true, people always assume I am…'”
The app also asks for potential players’ SAT and ACT scores, along with any jobs they’ve had since high school.
It was enough for one person Instagram declare, “This is crazy!” before also clarifying: “I’m interested haha. The more unbalanced the better.”
