Viewers think the host took revenge by later correcting the player for his own mistake.

During Jeopardy! In the Masters final on Wednesday, Yogesh Raut tried to correct Ken on how he pronounced a name.
The contestant was given a clue that said: “In 1823, this man of the same name was elevated to superintendent of survey of India.”
Yogesh replied, “Who is Everest,” pronouncing the name Ee-ver-est.
When Ken said that Yogesh was right, the host also repeated the answer but used the Ever-est pronunciation.
The player quickly responded, “He pronounced it Ee-ver-est,” before quickly trying to move on to the next question.
The camera cut to Ken, however, to see his reaction to the contestant’s joke, and the host simply laughed.
NOT A FAN FAVORITE
“Ken didn’t like Yogesh’s additional comments,” one fan insisted. “Especially how to pronounce ‘Everest’.”
“Yogesh, although extremely intelligent, is too much of a smartass,” said a second viewer.
The online user added that “Ken handles him with great grace.”

A third danger! fan called Yogesh “insufferable” for trying to correct Ken.
Another fan stated that Yogesh’s pronunciation “wasn’t the ‘correct’ way either.”
“According to the information I found, the man pronounced it ‘rest’ and not ‘ee-ver-est,’” the social media user added.
Another fan noted that Ken seemed to have his own chance to correct Yogesh just moments later in the finale.
“If loving that @KenJennings clapped back at Yogesh with Salt N Pepa after his shitty ‘Everest’ comment is wrong, I don’t want to be right,” said the X user (ex-Twitter).
GETTING REVENGE
The moment the online fan referenced occurred when guest star Jason Kelce showed up to read a clue.
“I always smile knowingly when I hear their song, ‘Ah, push, push well, oh push, push well,’” said Jason, as a photo of a hip-hop group was displayed on the screen.
“Who were Salt and Pepa,” replied Yogesh, putting extra emphasis on the middle word.
Ken responded, “Yeah, I guess they could have said Salt-N-Pepa, but you got it right.”
“Like Ee-ver-est,” Ken added, to make sure everyone got his joke.
This moment had its own angry reactions from fans, and they were once again directed at Yogesh.
Fans were confused as to how he received points for his answer despite contestants in the past having a different ruling for similar situations.
“Wait… they accepted Yogesh’s clearly pronounced Salt AND Pepa as correct, when GangstER’s Paradise was famously considered incorrect,” asked an upset fan, referring to a decision from 2018 and earlier this year.
“I was surprised they didn’t come back later and call it incorrect,” said a second fan.
