Victoria defeated Yogesh Raut and James Holzhauer in the finals.

She took home the grand prize of $500,000, a flashy Alex Trebek trophy and the title of Jeopardy! Master Champion.

The 43-year-old, who is a game show veteran and was named World Quizzer of the Year in 2021, took it to a Reddit ask me anything to celebrate his victory with the fans.

When asked about her speed and dexterity at the buzzer, she revealed that she has had a lot of practice.

“I have a LOT of musical training on instruments that involve finger dexterity (piano and harp, mostly) and have played a LOT of video games throughout my life,” she shared. (It) could not have been anything but helpful.”

“I’ve mentioned elsewhere that I love rhythm games and I definitely logged my 10,000 hours there,” she added, referring to the philosophy that it takes 10,000 to master a skill before you can be considered an expert.

She also revealed how she got so good at games.

“Not the most exciting answer, but playing hard and studying hard,” Victoria divulged. “I did quiz bowl and other trivial things from when I was a kid until a little after college, kind of left the community for a while when my son was young (very busy) and then got back into it about 12 years ago. , and about 10 years ago I started doing it gradually.”

RAUT RAGE

Victoria was a popular and well-received contestant. The same could not be said for one of its competitors.

Fans criticized Yogesh Raut’s behavior during the Masters season 2 finale, saying he came across as arrogant and uncomfortable.

As viewers at home tuned in for the grand finale, many were distracted by Yogesh’s buzzer-beating style.

“Can someone from the @Jeopardy camp tell Yogesh to stop pushing the button please,” begged one angry viewer.

“Happy he didn’t win,” replied a second, before calling the play “so arrogant.”

“Yes, yes, yes, I’m very happy about it,” one of them replied. “There are so many things I don’t like about him.”

CUT TO THE CHASE

Victoria may not be done with her dominance on the quiz show.

While Victoria, Yogesh, and James faced off in the finals, Jeopardy! fans shared their enthusiasm for the game on social media.

“I’m just saying it wouldn’t be a bad idea for ABC to do another season of The Chase with these three,” said one fan he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Victoria retweeted the post, teasing the return of the final three on Jeopardy!’s rival game show, The Chase.

The Chase is an ABC game show where contestants compete against a professional quizzer, known as the Chaser, who tries to prevent players from winning a cash prize.

Victoria joined The Chase in 2022, while James became a top scorer in 2021 – alongside Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings.
