DANGER! champion Amar Kakirde was the target of serious criticism from presenter Ken Jennings after a pop culture mistake.
During Tuesday’s episode, Amar – one win away from landing a spot on the next season’s Tournament of Champions – was tasked with answering some tough questions.
In the new Jeopardy! In the episode, the returning contestant entered to give his answer to a clue in the Name The Celebrity category.
“A rapper: he has 2 children with Rihanna. Actor in 2018’s Dope and Monster,” Ken said, reading the clue aloud.
Amar’s doorbell rang and he tried to answer the $400 question.
“Who is Jay Z?” he asked, clearly unsure.
Ken quickly corrected him, even laughing at his expense.
“No. Big news for Beyoncé if it’s true,” he said with a laugh.
“This is as soon as possible Rocky.”
Amar grimaced when Jeopardy! host read the correct answer.
BEY IS BUZZING
In the comments of an Instagram video From the incredible moment, fans of the game show and the Cowboy Carter singer tuned out.
Many caught wind of the hilarious and awkward moment.

Another joked: “The look of horror at the wrong answer.”
“Amar’s face when he said Jay Z is killing me,” pointed out a third commenter.
Someone joked: “Amar did something stupid.”

The sequence is over
It seems like it just wasn’t Amar’s night.
He answered that question incorrectly and his winning streak ended.
During his reign, which began during last Wednesday’s episode, Amar raised an impressive $55,899.
At the end of the most recent episode, his competitor, Steve, was in first place with $15,400.
Amar came in second with $14,200, and another new contestant, Abby, came in third with $8,200.
The Final Risk issue had to do with European scientists.
Abby answered incorrectly, leaving her with $5,200.
Amar, in turn, bet $1 of his winnings.
He also answered incorrectly and lost everything.
Steve bet $13,001 and also guessed incorrectly, leaving him with $2,399.
In a stunning victory, Abby was crowned the new Jeopardy champion.
Fans on a Reddit forum dedicated to the US game show pointed out the real reason for Amar’s defeat.
One fan said: “It’s hard to believe a four-time champion would make such a blatant betting error on FJ.”
“Amar’s big exaggerated bet cost him the victory, unfortunately,” said another.
A third person responded to that comment, adding: “Very appropriate considering he won his second game because the second place player made a huge under bet.
“It’s like poetry and rhymes.”
When talking about his wins, it was clear that Jeopardy! fans think Amar was lucky to come out on top.
“Amar was lucky his opponents messed up a lot,” wrote one fan.
Amar was well ahead of his competitors on Wednesday and Thursday.
He won $16,600 on May 22 and the next day he won another $7,999.
He ended his winning streak with total winnings of $55,900.
