DANGER! viewers criticized the show for giving a brutal final clue that led to the loss of Amar Kakirde.

Amar was just one game away from being a contender in the next season’s Tournament of Champions before his unfortunate loss.

At the end of Jeopardy!, the contestant came in second place with a score of $14,200, competing against Abby Mann and Steve Miller.

As the trio headed to Final Jeopardy!, they found a clue about European scientists.

“On the bicentenary of his birth in 2022, this man’s body was exhumed and the DNA used to determine his genetic diseases,” the clue read.

All three contestants answered incorrectly, leading Abby to victory with a final score of $5,200.

Amar, who responded, “Who is Tesla,” came in last place as he shockingly gambled all but $1 of his winnings.

Steve came in second place with a final score of $2,399.

ERRONEOUS?

After watching the episode, some viewers took to social media to express their belief that Final Jeopardy! track was unfair.

“Absolutely brutal #Jeopardy final clue today topped by returning champion Amar’s brutally horrible Final @Jeopardy bet that cost him the win,” wrote one viewer on X, formerly Twitter.

“It’s amazing to me how often players bet badly on FJ. The category is European Scientists”, they added.

Others thought the way the clue was worded was misleading to the contestants.

Danger! champion Amar Kakirde claimed one of the ‘lowest’ cash totals in four days after winning in a lackluster game

“I didn’t like that question, maybe I misinterpreted it, but it said that his body was exhumed to determine genetic diseases. I couldn’t find any disease records so I thought it was very misleading,” a second responded.

“I didn’t like the track at all,” added a third.

“I think the contestants deserve a makeover,” tweeted another.

Some viewers also took to Reddit to question why Amar bet such a large amount on the finale.

Danger! Universe

Danger! it first aired in 1964 until 1975. Then, the nighttime version began in 1974. Since then, many spinoffs of the game show have emerged. Here they are all:

Danger! eliminated specialized tournaments, such as University Tournaments, Children’s Week and Teacher’s Tournament, to move towards a more sporting model, with the Masters being the top of the Jeopardy pyramid.

Other versions of Jeopardy! have also failed over the years, such as Sports Jeopardy!.

“It’s hard to believe a four-time champion would make such an egregious betting error on FJ,” one person wrote.

“Unfortunately, Amar’s big over-the-top bet cost him the win,” said a second.

Others noted how Amar had lucked out with his contestants in the past, noting how they had “messed up a lot” previously.

MEMORABLE MOMENT

Earlier this week, Amar was mocked by host Ken Jennings after mashing up two well-known rappers.

In the Name The Celebrity category, contestants received the clue: “A rapper: has 2 children with Rihanna. Actor in 2018’s Dope and Monster.”

“Who is Jay Z?” Amar was the first to answer the $400 question.

“No. Big news for Beyoncé if it’s true,” Ken said while laughing. “This is as soon as possible Rocky.”

A similar case happened on Wednesday’s episode of Jeopardy! with contestant Abby.

“He rapped, ‘Today I didn’t even have to use my AK, I must say it was a good day,’” the track in the Classic Rap Lyrics category read.

Abby played it first: “Who’s Ice-T?”

She was disappointed when she realized she had gotten the rappers mixed up, when Brian correctly interrupted, “Who’s Ice Cube?”

Viewers shared their thoughts on X and criticized the show for including the “annoying” category, which led to similar situations in previous episodes.

Abby took the lead during the episode with $5,200, while Steve came in second place with a final total of $2,399.
