A WHEEL of Fortune contestant had the last word with a disgruntled fan who doubted his victory in the $40,000 bonus puzzle.

Kchristchan Howard had a somewhat confusing victory on Friday in which he initially celebrated an incorrect guess.

Wheel of Fortune just wrapped up a week of Fan Favorites with former super-solver contestants back for more.

The special came before Pat Sajak’s big farewell episode as host for 41 years, which airs in one week on June 7, 2024.

The fans’ issue was about Kennedi Williams and her mother, Kchristshan, of Waxahachie, Texas, who ended Fan Favorites with a bang.

They went into the coveted bonus round with the highest score of the three pairs, boasting $29,348.

They selected “What Are You Doing” as the category and “VDCOP” as the complementary lyrics.

Then came the dark moment – just as the 10-second timer started, Kchristshan shouted, “I’m going places!”

Thinking this was the correct solution, she paraded across the stage in a premature celebration.

However, this was not the case, as the correct answer was “Going places” without the “I”.

Pat, 77, shouted at her to come back: “Come back here, say it straight.”

She returned to her seat and said, “Going places,” on cue.

“There you go,” Pat decided and awarded him the prize, which he revealed was a whopping $40,000.

‘THEY ALLOWED HER TO VICTORY!’

Wheel shared a clip of the episode on Instagram, and the tough customer wrote that she shouldn’t have received the award.

“That night was curious… the lady at the end went to guess the puzzle, got excited and said ‘I’m going places!’ and starts dancing, but the puzzle was “Going places”, but she won!

“I saw them deny every other contestant who added words incorrectly to a puzzle, but they allowed her to win.”

Other fans agreed: “I noticed that too.”

A third argued: “She said I’m going places. Which was technically the incorrect answer, but she corrected it in two seconds.

“If you didn’t watch the episode, I get it. But if you watched the episode, she said ‘Going Places’ literally two seconds later. Please pay attention.”

In a rare rebuke, Kchristshan chimed in and calmly explained that he corrected himself in time.

“We have until time runs out,” she wrote with a heart emoji.

The fan apologized, realizing they may have been hasty.

They wrote: “Ah, so you said it again correctly and the first guess didn’t count against you? Thanks for clarifying! And congratulations!”

‘DON’T DO THAT’

Pat’s last two weeks as host of Wheel of Fortune were some of the craziest in history.

A bonus round saw Larry go through a whirlwind of emotions after losing a $100,000 bonus prize in a terribly minor mix-up.

The “Phrase” puzzle read “M ‘_ _ ST’ ‘S_ _ _ _ M _ ‘ ‘_ _ _ ‘ and the 10-second timer started – Larry confidently guessed, “I’m just showing off.”

The timer ran out when Vanna White, 66, stamped her foot in disappointment as she revealed that “I’m just showing off.”

“Don’t do that, don’t do that,” Larry exclaimed when he realized he had only gotten the correct answer wrong on the last word.

Pat revealed that he lost $100,000 or the highest prize on the wheel and Larry, justifiably, freaked out.

He nearly walked off the stage, exclaiming, “Don’t do that today.”

He waved his arms at Pat and said, “That was the confetti,” imagining his prize in an alternate timeline.

He finally came back to stand next to Pat when he calmed down.

‘LET’S GO’

Earlier in the week, a gamer forced host Pat to intervene and stop the show after prematurely celebrating solving a puzzle.

Returning contestant Cynthia quickly solved the first two puzzles, raising $4,000.

She was stumped by the third, however, which allowed Rufus to come up with an answer.

“Don’t look away!” he guessed confidently.

All the players celebrated and reached out to throw a punch, thinking he had connected.

However, not everyone celebrated as much when Pat shouted, “No! No!”

The trio were confused to learn that it wasn’t the right answer.

“It is not right!” the longtime host shouted.

“Everyone is congratulating everyone and we can keep the money,” Pat joked, trying to get things back on track.

NO IF, ANDS OR BUTTS

This isn’t the first time a Wheel of Fortune error has won over the masses in just the last few weeks.

During the May 23 episode, a contestant made the guess to minors heard around the world.

The episode started with a $1,000 giveaway, and Marcus showed up with his infamous wrong answer.

“Right in the ass?” he suggested.

The live audience, the show’s host and his fellow contestants were left awestruck.

“No,” Pat replied after realizing what the contestant had guessed.

Contestant Tyra blurted out, “What?!” when the third player, Blake, came up with the right answer.

“That’s the best!” he said.

Marcus cringed and clapped his co-star in support, saying, “Much better answer.”

On social media, one fan reacted to the iconic moment with “Welcome to the Wheel of Fortune Hall of Fame.”

PAT IS EVERYONE

Wheel of Fortune host Pat is about to begin his final week before retiring from the game show.

Pat’s final episode will air on June 7th and is aptly titled “Thanks For The Memories.”

The show hasn’t announced whether Pat’s farewell will be a full tribute with memories from all the years or simply business as usual with a goodbye at the end.

The episode will be a TV milestone, as the host has been creating puzzles and prizes alongside Vanna White, 66, since 1981 and 1982, respectively.

When asked by TVInsider how long she thinks she will stay on the game show, Vanna responded, “I don’t know.

“When I heard Pat was retiring, I thought maybe I should retire too, but I’m not ready!”

“We’ll see at the end of these two years how I feel.

“I thank God, after all these years, that I still love my job.”

Ryan Seacrest, 49, was chosen as Pat’s replacement last year, shortly after Pat announced he was leaving.

That being said, fans shared mixed feelings about the decision.

On social media, one dedicated viewer claimed that the American Idol star has “big shoes to fill” when it comes to the WoF star’s beloved humor.

The show airs weekdays at 7:30 pm ET on ABC, so fans can catch his send-off on June 7 at that time.
