SUDDEN danger! star Adriana Harmeyer won her eighth episode on Friday with $183,100, lots of fan enthusiasm and a winning secret weapon.

Adriana shared her late grandmother’s lucky charm before beating Amogha Tadimety and Kevin Stuhlmann to a near-game show record.

The West Lafayette, Indiana, archivist, who had the longest and most profitable streak in more than a year, was back for more.

Ken Jennings, 49, mentioned in interviews that he noticed she wore “the same necklace” in every match.

Adriana explained as she took off her chic necklace that was a tribute to her late grandmother.

She explained that her wave of success may not have happened without her.

“It’s a cameo necklace that my grandmother gave me,” she shared.

“She loved and collected cameos in all forms and was also a huge game show fan!”

“I spent a lot of time watching Jeopardy! and other programs alongside it”, added Adriana with pride.

She admitted that “it’s very possible” that without her grandmother she wouldn’t be on Jeopardy!

“It’s great that you have that memory,” Ken said admiringly.

From then on, the defending champion had another brilliant performance.

‘WHAT A WEEK!’

After Danger! round, Adriana maintained a slight advantage with $5,800 due to a double daily loss of $2,000, Kevin $4,400 and Amogha $1,000.

In Double Jeopardy!, she added $3,000 in the second Daily Double, Amogha lost $1,000 in the third.

Kevin recovered to come close to attacking in Final Jeopardy! with Adriana at $19,600, him at $13,600 and Amogha at $3,600.

“For the first time this week, this isn’t an escape for Adriana,” Ken warned.

The “World Leaders” clue read: “During a presidential visit in 1972, Richard Nixon discussed a poem by this leader called “Ode to the Plum Blossom.”

Adriana and Amogha came out on top as “Chairman Mao,” and she ended the week with $27,400 more and a tremendous eight-day total.

“I think this is your biggest payout yet,” Ken commented, “What a week you’ve had!” while Adriana was beaming, her necklace in full view.

‘MAKING HISTORY!’

Fans took to a Reddit thread praising the champion, who is suddenly knocking on the door of legendary status.

“I hope Adriana gets at least two more wins. I like her very much! :),” wrote one Redditor.

“Adriana is very, very, very good,” wrote another.

A third noted that Kevin bet poorly in the final, blowing his chance to dethrone the champion, if correct.

“By placing a medium-sized FJ bet, Kevin gave up the chance of winning if Adriana made a mistake without having to correct herself,” they pointed out.

Another commented that she is one win away from becoming the fourth winningest female contestant of all time.

“Congratulations to Adriana for winning the week. A win on Monday would make her the third-longest-winning female contestant in Jeopardy history, behind only Amy Schneider and Julia Collins.”

Another person responded that the user forgot about Mattea Roach, so technically Adriana would be the fourth woman with the most wins.

Adriana will look for her ninth victory in Monday’s episode.

If she succeeds, she will also be tied for the longest run since 2024 ToC runner-up Ben Chan last May.

EVERYTHING ABOUT ADRIANA

Adriana, a historical archivist at Purdue University, has been going strong since arriving last week.

She now has the longest streak and gains of the entire season and the fans are all in on it.

“Well done, Adriana, you’re a great competitor!!” one Redditor wrote recently.

“Adriana is killing it and I love her retro vibe, like she stepped off the set of the Mary Tyler Moore Show,” wrote another.

“Adriana is so cool I bet she doesn’t even care,” wrote a third.

She won five of her eight games on the run, meaning she was unbeaten going into the final round.

Adriana, however, opted for a risk-averse strategy, which is especially rare in the modern era.

She’s a traditional player who competes from top to bottom (what a relief!) and didn’t go on the daily double hunt à la James Holzhauer.

Instead, she found only ten of the 24 hidden clues, refusing to bounce around the board.

“Adriana is a sneaky, ice-cold player. She doesn’t hunt DD much and isn’t very aggressive with her bets, but on DJ’s end, she has an out-of-control game!” another fan previously wrote.

“Just pure buzzer skill and huge knowledge base. I hope she continues her trend, I’d love to see how far she can take it!”

She relied on pure knowledge, scoring an astonishing 196 correct and 18 incorrect overall on the tracks – and six out of eight in the final.

His Q&A stories also shed light on his Jeopardy! journey.

She shared that she didn’t make the cut as a teen contestant, which she admitted was “disappointing.”

She honed her skills on a 1990s CD-ROM version of Jeopardy! It started when she was seven years old and only stopped playing after the record broke in half.

In a recent press interview, Adriana said that she auditioned for the program online for fun and was surprised to be contacted a few weeks later.

“I had taken the test online a few times before, but this time I went online one night and took the test for fun.”

“I didn’t expect anything to happen – I just thought of it as another fun Internet test.”

So far, the other qualifiers for the next Tournament of Champions (all women) are five-day winners Alison Betts and Dr. Amy Hummel and Lisa Ann Walter from Celebrity Jeopardy!

That said, with four wins, Grant DeYoung and Amar Kakirde will likely enter the fray as well.

But with eight wins and maybe counting, Adriana is the season’s favorite so far.

Danger! airs at 7pm ET on ABC – check your local listings.
