DANGER! Contestant Adriana Harmeyer’s husband spoke about her success as she continues her impressive winning streak.

Neal Harmeyer, associate clinical professor and archivist at Purdue University, revealed the sweet way he supported his wife on Jeopardy!.

The couple traveled from Indiana to California together for the live taping of the game show, where Neal made sure to get a seat in the audience.

Neal said he felt fortunate to be able to watch Adriana compete, especially because he knows the joy it brings her.

“If you think it’s tense watching at home, it’s a lot more tense watching in person when someone you love is competing,” he said. Diary and Mail.

“Adriana finds great joy in learning and being curious. I’ve seen her in her element while she’s doing trivia before, but this is the best—she’s completely happy.

“Watching her like this was an absolute privilege,” he added.

The West Lafayette, Ind., archivist is on his longest and biggest winning streak in more than a year.

On Friday, Adriana won her eighth episode with $183,100, extending her streak for the biggest and longest wins of the season.

“I think this is your biggest payout yet,” host Ken Jennings commented at the end of the broadcast, adding, “What a week you’ve had!”

SUPPORT FROM THE BEGINNING

Neal explained how he and Adriana originally bonded over watching Jeopardy! as children when they met in 2013.

His love of the game show eventually led to his love of learning and helping others.

“Adriana has an insatiable appetite for learning. If she doesn’t know the answer to something or if someone asks her something and she doesn’t know the answer, she won’t stop investigating until she finds it,” Neal told Indiana. Publication.

“Since I’ve known her, Adriana has always been an avid reader, a lover of curiosities and loves thinking about the world from the perspective of learning.

“She’s still the same person I met over a decade ago.”

Neal’s support for his wife did not go unnoticed by Adriana, who supported him throughout his time on the program.

Danger! – (syndicated) 1974 to present, weekdays on ABC at 7pm ET.

Tournament of Champions – 1984 to present, features the top champions who have appeared on the show since the last tournament.

Second Chance Tournament – 2022 to Present features hand-selected non-winners from the previous season, where the prize is entry into the Champions Wildcard.

Champions Wildcard – 2023 to present, features all one-, two-, and three-day champions from the previous season that are eligible for entry into the Tournament of Champions.

Danger! Invitational Tournament (distribution) – from 2023 to the present, features big names from the past invited by producers to compete for a place in the Masters.

Danger! Masters (primetime) – from 2023 to present, features the six Jeopardy! champions competing against each other.

Celebrity Danger! (Primetime) – From 1992 to the present, celebrities compete against each other to raise money for charity.

Pop Culture Jeopardy (streaming) – from 2024 to present, will feature teams of three in charge of pop culture trivia on Amazon Prime, host and air date to be determined

Danger! eliminated specialized tournaments, such as University Tournaments, Children’s Week and Teacher’s Tournament, to move towards a more sporting model, with the Masters being the top of the Jeopardy pyramid.

Other versions of Jeopardy! have also failed over the years, such as Sports Jeopardy!.

The contestant said it was a relief to discuss the recordings with Neal, especially since she has to keep the results secret until they are broadcast.

She also expressed gratitude for her experience on the game show, admitting that she would have been happy to leave after the first episode.

“It’s been amazing. I really enjoyed going and doing (‘Jeopardy!’) and being on the show, and that was enough,” Adriana explained.

“If for some reason it never aired on television, that was enough for me.

“I love playing this game, but now that it’s live, it’s been unexpected how strong and positive the reaction has been for me and my family.

YOUR Lucky Charm

In Friday’s episode, Adriana revealed a secret accessory that may have helped her success.

After Ken noticed that she wore the same necklace in every match, Adriana explained that it was a tribute to her late grandmother.

“It’s a cameo necklace that my grandmother gave me,” the contestant shared.

“She loved and collected cameos in all forms and was also a huge fan of game shows!

“I spent a lot of time watching Jeopardy! and other shows alongside her,” Adriana said, adding that “it’s very possible” she wasn’t on Jeopardy! without her.

“It’s great that you have that memory,” Ken replied.

Monday night’s episode will see Adriana face off against professor Aaron Lemos and software developer Josh Fry.

Adriana said she has been counting on her husband's support, mainly because she needs to keep the results of the game a secret until the episodes air.
