A DANGER! the contestant surprised fans after they discovered he had previously been on a British TV show.
Enzo Cunanan, a college student from Orlando, Florida, surprised Jeopardy! viewers with their knowledge on Wednesday night’s episode.
He competed against repeat champion Adriana Harmeyer and newcomer Connor Townsend and came second to Adriana.
Many were impressed by his game show skills, even more so when they discovered he had previously appeared on another popular UK TV show, University Challenge.
Fans talked about the outcome of Wednesday’s episode of Jeopardy! dedicated online message board, where the connection was pointed out.
“I remember Enzo from University Challenge two years ago and he was great, I’m not surprised to see him do well here too,” the person wrote in the thread.
Enzo captained his University College of Oxford team in Series 29.
He is in his second year of college studying History.

Other fans agreed that Enzo played well on Jeopardy!, with many begging the producers to bring him back.
“Enzo is probably the biggest “no duh” candidate for Second Chance so far, and Connor did really well in third place with a Coryat 9600. Good game everyone!” one fan commented.
“I was in quiz bowl with Enzo in high school, he was a powerhouse then and he’s a powerhouse now. I really hope he comes back for a second chance!” said another.
“Great match and another great victory for Adriana. I hope they bring Enzo back for one more try,” she echoed a third.
“Enzo appears to be a lock for Second Chance. Big Matt Jackson vibes,” a fourth added.
“Yes, Enzo should definitely be in Second Chance!” a fifth responded.
“I remember Enzo from high school Quiz Bowl (just a few years ago). I’m not surprised to see him on Jeopardy, but surprised to see him so soon. stuck with curiosities”, added a sixth.
“Enzo can be considered for a second chance. We hope that the vacancies are not full, as there are many that will be considered”, commented another.

Danger! has had a tumultuous history regarding hosts following the death of the iconic Alex Trebek in 2020. Here are every host since the game show’s inception in 1964.
Art Fleming – from 1964 to 1975, he was the original host of the daytime version of Jeopardy! on NBC.
Alex Trebek – From 1984 to 2020, the late, great Alex hosted the modern iteration of Jeopardy! for 36 years until his death from pancreatic cancer.
Guest Hosts – 2020 to 2021, Jeopardy! tested a series of guest hosts for one- or two-week stints, including Anderson Cooper, LaVar Burton and Aaron Rodgers.
Mike Richards – 2021, he was named host for a week before resigning amid controversy. He was the show’s executive producer at the time.
Mayim Bialik – 2021 to 2023, when Mike was announced as the show’s new host, Mayim was chosen to host tournaments and primetime specials.

Enzo appeared to be a tough opponent for Adriana – who is currently on an 11-day winning streak.
He followed her for most of the game and even surpassed her for first place in Daily Double 2.
However, the Michigan native regained the lead by winning Daily Double 3, finishing the round with $20,600 to Enzo’s $16,400.
Enzo also gave the correct answer to Final Jeopardy! track in the “Famous Names” category.
Unfortunately for Enzo, Adriana also answered correctly, adding $12,400 to his final total for a total of $33,000.
Enzo wasn’t far behind with a total of $31,400, while his third opponent, Connor, finished with $7,000.
