On June 18, contestant Mark Gagliardi played against Colleen Matthews and Adriana Harmeyer.

Mark has been introduced as an actor and podcaster, but the depth of his career has not been revealed.

Soon, fans realized that Mark had found fame in Comedy Central Show Drunk History.

In an episode nearly two decades ago, Mark was seen working with movie stars Michael Cera and Jake Johnson.

Mark announced that he would be on the gameshow with a publish on Instagram, and viewers quickly returned to the post to tag him after the show.

“I was like, ‘Oh my God, that guy looks exactly like Gags!” So I literally screamed when his name came up! I’m so excited for you!” enthused one fan.

Many other viewers had similar reactions on Reddit and listed several other roles Mark has played on television and podcasts.

“I knew I knew Mark from somewhere and then I remembered the Drunkard Story. I told my husband that guy used to get drunk,” one social media user wrote.

“Thank you! That name was so familiar to me and I was struggling to place it,” said another in response.

“The name seemed familiar, but a look at his IMDB tells me I probably heard the name because he voiced John Peters (you know, the farmer?) in Welcome to Night Vale,” a third person identified.

“Go Team Venture! (Mark has done multiple voices on Venture Bros. over the last two seasons)” added one final fan.

IN THE DARK

Although many fans identified Mark from Jeopardy!, some viewers didn’t even get the chance to watch him after an abrupt schedule change.

Many followers were left confused on Reddit after the show didn’t air, claiming it wasn’t available in some parts of the country.

“This episode did not air in the Tulsa market today. What airs today is Adriana’s tenth victory. Does anyone know why?” one person asked.

Danger! Host timeline

Danger! has had a tumultuous history regarding hosts following the death of the iconic Alex Trebek in 2020. Here are every host since the game show’s inception in 1964.

Art Fleming – from 1964 to 1975, he was the original host of the daytime version of Jeopardy! on NBC.

Alex Trebek – From 1984 to 2020, the late, great Alex hosted the modern iteration of Jeopardy! for 36 years until his death from pancreatic cancer.

Guest Hosts – 2020 to 2021, Jeopardy! tested a series of guest hosts for one- or two-week stints, including Anderson Cooper, LaVar Burton and Aaron Rodgers.

Mike Richards – 2021, he was named host for a week before resigning amid controversy. He was the show’s executive producer at the time.

Mayim Bialik – 2021 to 2023, when Mike was announced as the show’s new host, Mayim was chosen to host tournaments and primetime specials.

Mayim and Ken Jennings – 2022 to 2023, 74-time champion Ken (the winningest contestant of all time) joined Mayim as guest host and they shared hosting duties.

Ken Jennings – 2023 to present. Last December, Mayim announced on Instagram that she would “no longer” host Jeopardy! After a long hiatus, having defended the writers’ strike, Ken was named sole host.

Ken now runs all editions of Jeopardy! including Celebrity Jeopardy!, the late night show and other primetime specials such as Masters.

“Same here in Nashville. It’s not the first time this has happened here,” another furious fan added.

Other commentators said Baltimore and South Florida were also left out.

ROLLING

Mark’s celebrity links were slightly overshadowed by his competitor Adriana, who advanced to secure her 15th consecutive victory.

Some fans expressed concern about Adriana at the end of the game when she seemed confused by Final Jeopardy! tip.

“Adriana is blanked on Final Jeopardy, but she looked at this one for a long, long time,” Ken Jennings commented after Adriana took too long to write a response.

However, the returning winner once again got the answer correct and will return to the next episode.

“She continues! Great game from the three of them”, praised Ken at the end of the show.
