WHEEL of Fortune fans shared the same feelings as Vanna White about Ryan Seacrest taking over for Pat Sajak.
Fans want Vanna, 67, to take over as host after reports the two struggle to work together.

Ryan, 49, will be the new host of Wheel of Fortune next fall.
Pat, 77, retired from the game show after more than 40 years in June.
However, it appears that the two are not vibing.
And before they even see Ryan as host, Wheel fans are begging for Vanna to be the new host.

“Why didn’t they make her the host and have a muscular guy in short shorts turn over the cards?” one user X, formerly of Twitter, wrote.
They cited a tweet about Vanna and Ryan struggling to work together.
“They should do it in one episode. The internet would explode,” another fan responded.
IT’S NOT THE SAME
Even though the game show is on summer break, Vanna and Ryan are filming new episodes.
According to The Daily Mailthe two don’t “play” with each other.
Vanna is considering quitting the show because of their bad chemistry.
“Vanna will retire from the show when her contract ends, but there is a part of her that wants to leave early,” a source told the outlet.
“She just doesn’t play with Ryan like she did with Pat, and no one really expected her to do that.
Vanna has a contract with Wheel until 2026.
The source added that she feels like she put in the time.
Wheel of Fortune Host Timeline
Although Pat and Vanna have been a fixture on the game show for decades, there have been other hosts
Chuck Woolery was the host from 1975 to 1981
He co-hosted alongside Susan Stafford (1975 to 1982)
Vanna White took over as host in 1982 and has been since then.
After a contract and salary dispute, the show got rid of Chuck and brought back Pat in 1982.
Pat hosted Susan for a season
He then left the game show in 1989 to host a late-night talk show for CBS.
For five months, NFL player Rolf Benirschke took his place
In July 1989, Bob Goen hosted the show on CBS
He hosted for a year and a half until the show was canceled in 1991
The show was then moved to ABC, with Pat and Vanna hosting for the foreseeable future.
In 2023, Pat announced his retirement and Ryan Seacrest was quickly named his replacement
“She dedicated her entire life to this show and has had an incredible journey while making her fortune,” they said.
“She knows the show needs to go in a different direction and appeal to a younger audience. She wants the show to continue.”
The source said that to do this, Vanna knows the show needs a younger host, someone closer to Ryan’s age.

About a week after Pat’s final episode aired, the game show released images of Ryan in a new promo.
“Get ready for MORE money, MORE prizes and lots of NEW fun! Who’s ready for a new season of Wheel?!” the Instagram post was captioned.
Ryan stood next to Pat and Vanna in a suit during the set.
Fans have expressed that they think Ryan is just temporary and have said that they will not watch the new season.
“I should have found someone for the long term. Ryan is not the long-term type of person,” one wrote.
“I’m not sure Seacrest is the right guy for the job!” said another.
“I just don’t see Ryan doing this for 30-40 years. He’s hosted other things and moves on. We’ll see how things go, but WOF should have looked for another host that could be long term,” a third added.
