The Price is Right was interrupted by a special report on Friday, and fans immediately began begging CBS to put it back on.

The latest Supreme Court news aired shortly before the game show began, interrupting the first few minutes of the program.

CBS broke the news that the Supreme Court ruled that federal prosecutors wrongly charged hundreds of defendants with obstructing an official proceeding during the January 6 insurrection.

The Price is Right didn’t start from the beginning and instead continued the show as if nothing had happened, six minutes later.

It was interrupted during a commercial, angering fans.

When the commercial ended, the special report returned and quickly returned to The Price is Right.

Fans didn’t get to see the intro or the first contestant try to win the prize.

“@cbsnews @NorahODonnell Get off the air and put on Price is Right!” a user X begged.

“@CBSNews OK, now! You told us about the decision now, get off TV. You’re not even saying anything relevant right now. We want the price to be fair,” said another.

“I’ve been through enough in the last 16 hours CBS, I just want to see if the price is right,” a third added.

“I was watching Price is Right and they came on to bring you the latest news about the Supreme Court,” wrote another.

“Thanks for stopping the price is right,” complained another.

DAYTIME DISTURBANCE

This isn’t the first time the game show has been interrupted this year.

In May, fans were furious when The Price is Right was abruptly taken off the air.

In certain areas, breaking news broke and therefore took the program off the air.

CBS’ coverage of President Biden’s speech on the protests on college campuses was the topic.

The price is right, hosts

The Price is Right first appeared on TV in 1972. Fans fell in love with the game show so much that it has been on the air for over 50 years. Over that time, the show has had a few different hosts. Find out who they are below.

Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)

Drew Carey – October 2007 to present

Dennis James – replaced Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also presented the nighttime version

Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools’ Day Special

Many fans would like the news to air after the game show.

“BOOOO PUT THE PRICE BACK,” said one user X.

“Oh no, they stopped the price, that’s right,” said another.

PARTIAL DISTURBANCE

However, during the May outage, only a few markets were disrupted.

Some fans said their show was not interrupted when CBS put the special report online.

“That’s smart,” replied a fellow fan, before adding that he “wish everywhere were like this.”

The show returned in time for the Showcase Showdown.

The Price is Right airs on CBS at 11 a.m. every weekday.
