Early on in Jeopardy, a category titled Picture The Hit Song involved stock images tied to a famous musician and their hit songs.

Isaac was the first player to choose the category and they seemed to get them all right – except the $1,000 question.

When the photo surfaced, it showed a man and his daughter dancing and smiling while the father wore a pink tutu.

Presenter Ken Jennings, 50, read the clue: “Luther Vandross’ tribute to his own father.”

Kelly, Isaac and Diane did not appear, with the host naming them after the hit song, “This song is called Dance With My Father.”

The late R&B singer released the song in 2003 and it was awarded Song of the Year at the 2004 Grammy Awards.

At the end of the episode, Isaac was crowned the winner and continued his reign during Thursday’s official game.

However, fans were not amused as the musical question was left unanswered.

‘A BEAUTIFUL SONG’

On a Jeopardy-themed Reddit forum, viewers shared their shock.

“I’m sad that Luther Vandross was a triple hurdler,” one wrote.

Danger! Fans say contestant was ‘robbed’ of an ‘absurd’ decision based on a $2,000 clue she ‘got right’

Another responded: “Yes, it’s a beautiful song!”

“I told my wife these contestants will never achieve this,” exclaimed a third.

BALANCE SHEET AND A LOSS

The triple stumper wasn’t the first time all three contestants missed a music-related question on the game show.

In May, the players at the time: Amar Kakirde, Anna Marie Cunningham and Has Karbalai, tried the track, but none of them got it right.

Danger! Universe

Danger! it first aired in 1964 until 1975. Then, the nighttime version began in 1974. Since then, many spinoffs of the game show have emerged. Here they are all:

Danger! eliminated specialized tournaments, such as University Tournaments, Children’s Week and Teacher’s Tournament, to move towards a more sporting model, with the Masters being the top of the Jeopardy pyramid.

Other versions of Jeopardy! have also failed over the years, such as Sports Jeopardy!.

The question in the Our First Concert category said: “I was there in 2007 when this original Van Halen singer reunited with the band for a tour.”

Anna Marie guessed the late comedian Sam Kinison, Has guessed Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder, and Amar guessed guitarist Eddie Van Halen.

The correct answer was David Lee Roth.

On X, formerly Twitter, a fan wrote: “The best danger clips are the ones where the answer is something that cool people would know and danger nerds would fumble.”

A second said: “I started laughing so hard at these answers. The first one made me laugh out loud, but combined with the second one I was howling!”

“This is very sad,” said another.
