FAMILY Feud distorted the response to a 4th of July themed message and left fans in complete shock.

The Family Feud Instagram account shared a clip from the July 4th episode, which featured a question centered around the holiday’s most famous foods.

Host Steve Harvey, 67, asked the contestants: “Has the Fourth of July become a holiday where people get together to see who can eat the most of what?”

Without hesitation, player Pam rang the bell and responded with “hot dog”.

The answer changed to first place, however, the game show changed the language.

“Plump sausages,” revealed the painting instead.

An extended, slow-motion scene of the phrase came soon after, to which the show added fireworks graphics and an accompaniment of the Star-Spangled Banner.

GORDO… WHAT?!

After the shocking moment was posted on social media, fans flooded the comments with their thoughts on Family Feud’s word choice.

“Wait, that wasn’t part of the script!!!” one person joked.

“FAT WINERS???????” she asked for a second.

“That’s very descriptive,” noted a third, while a fourth added, “That’s weirdly specific.”

‘Plump Weiners??? Ok, sure, you tell me your pg when you’re not pg,’ said another, highlighting the show’s raunchy content.

Family Feud fans furious over ‘what’s this’ as they call game show ‘inappropriate’ after ‘nasty’ questions

“Freaky Feud,” joked someone else.

NOT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

The long-running game show, hosted by Steve since 2010, was recently criticized for not being “family friendly”.

The contestants were even quizzed about sex earlier this week, where they were asked about a place they made love that made them feel guilty.

Viewers also criticized the show for asking “nasty” questions last week after players were asked to “name a green vegetable that the Jolly Green Giant’s wife could compare his manhood to.”

One person responded: “One of those really big zucchinis,” as she stood next to her son on the panel.

While some fans found the moment funny, others criticized the show for being inappropriate.

“Why all the sexual questions? I thought it was a ‘family’ dispute. The woman talking about her son’s masculinity is scary,” said one viewer.

“This show is so nasty,” said a second, while a third asked: “Can’t there just be regular questions?

“No respect, no more nonsense. Family show?” another asked.

Another moment on the show last month had a player commenting on a man’s “small package”, which came after a pastor’s sexual comment caused fans to call the show too “raunchy”.
