DANGER! abruptly changed the show by removing an old segment, and fans are questioning why this happened.

The game show’s executive producer also recently teased a change in eligibility rules, angering fans accustomed to the old format.

Earlier this week, dedicated Jeopardy! Watchers noticed something was missing from the episodes and discussed the issue in an online forum.

The original poster mentioned that the show was no longer showing a preview of the next episode at the end of each show.

They noted that the show shared a teaser during the second half of season 38 and all of season 39 before stopping completely.

Others shared their thoughts in the thread, with many hoping the previews would return.

“It’s so funny, I was thinking about posting exactly this. I miss you,” wrote one person.

“Ohh, it’s been so long I forgot they did that! I miss you!” said another.

“It’s been so long they forgot they did it too!” someone else responded.

Another fan suggested the move could be to avoid spoilers, given previous complaints about the contestants’ wardrobes.

“Maybe because of that thing where they included the winner of an episode with a different outfit than the one in the contestant zone?

“I noticed this has been a problem, especially towards the end of season 39. Maybe it’s harder to spot spoilers?

“I knew in advance that Amy would lose because Carrie Cadwallader from the game after she lost was wearing a different outfit than the one she posted in an online contestant ad,” the fan concluded.

Danger! producers caused quite a stir among longtime fans after significantly changing the show’s format.

On Friday, the US Sun participated in Inside Jeopardy! Live on Tour with executive producer Michael Davies and producer Sarah Whitcomb-Foss.

Michael took over following the departure of Mike Richards in 2021.

Danger! guest hosts

Since Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek died in November 2020, the beloved game show has continued with several guest hosts in 2021 to the present day:

During the live event, Sara revealed a significant, game-changing tweak.

“For the first time, if you competed on Kids Week, Teen Tournament or College Jeopardy, you’ll be able to go back and play on the syndicated show and see if you can run things and have a long streak. So, we are very excited about this new announcement,” revealed Sarah.

Michael then said he wanted to relax the eligibility rules even further and allow all previous players – including grand champions – to re-audition for the late-night show after 10 years.

“I had a slightly more aggressive proposal”, interrupted the EP.

“I wanted a 10-year rule that would apply to many other game shows, where anyone, after 10 years of being there, could sign up again and continue.”

Michael added, “I want to see the best Jeopardy! players on that stage, whether they’ve played once or not.”

‘PLAYING WITH FORMAT’

As soon as fans heard the news, they weren’t happy about having another change to the show.

“I think it makes sense to give teens/college kids a chance at the regular show, but for people who already had the chance? I don’t know, it seems repetitive,” one fan wrote on a message board dedicated to Jeopardy!

“I don’t want anyone other than former kid and teen tournament contestants to return to regular Jeopardy,” said another.

“There is a time and a place for multiple former contestants to compete against each other and that is TOC or Second Chance.

“And frankly, I would be upset if it took years to finally get my chance on Jeopardy and I had to compete against Roger Craig or Julia Collins.”

“Honestly, I’m fed up with Michael Davies’ antics. The danger was perfectly fine. While yes, I’ve been supporting the second chance and champions wildcard, I don’t like how he’s playing the format of everything,” raged one third.

PRODUCER’S CHOICE

The Producer’s Choice for Masters 2024 was also announced at the event: Amy Schneider.

“Gotta get ready for the Redditors,” Michael said before announcing, “So first of all, it’s the producer’s choice, but it’s not just me. It’s all the producers”, mentioning ABC and Sony.

“We have to recognize that there were several worthy people. But one person stood above all others.

“I have to believe they can get up on that stage at the Masters and beat everyone.

“Secondly, we are a TV show. We depend on the viewership,” she admitted, saying Amy’s “following” was a factor.

Amy will compete against Season 1 champion James Holzhauer, returning contestants Matt Amodio and Mattea Roach, and newcomers Yogesh Raut and Victoria Groce.

Ken Jennings, 49, only hosts the show after his former dual host, Mayim Bialik, 48, was fired.
